Selling Fainu was pretty luxurious though. 'Ohh look at me using one of my precious last trades on a green dot for extra points because I hold the fantasy gods in contempt and piss on their ancestors graves'. Basically what that move was saying, in a nutshell.

There was a little doubt around him due to Luke Brooks taking over a bit more of the playmaking (read: kicking) duties recently. It does lower DCE's scoring a bit. Can obviously still put up a big score, but I think his overall average might drop a few points. And its pretty slack for Manly to score 26 points in an NRL game and have DCE involved in pretty much none of them

Unless the battle for 8th between Dragons and Raiders eventuates (needs Raiders to be better), it's probably the R27 match that has the highest stakes

We might be in a situation where if the Tigers beat the Eels and the Roosters beat Souths by enough then the Bunnies finish sixteenth (or the heritage spoon). That seems more important.

Bought tickets to that game months ago because my 8yos best friend's dad is a Raiders man - so the two families going together. I think we likely both thought one team would be battling for 8th, but the other one.

Even a few weeks back I did that ladder forecast thing and thought it was on that it might be 8 v 9, but Raiders have self-destructed.

Is that the cardinal and myrtle spoon I've seen at the Rugby League Museum at Moore Park? (before it was closed to the public of course)

I feel there are two wooden spoon scenarios

    1. Tigers move ahead of Eels by 2 thanks to the bye next week, then with their fate in their own hands they lose to Eels at home to get wooden spoon on worse points differential. Seems the most Tigers thing

    2. Eels beat Dragons in R26, to stay level with Tigers and also fuck up the Dragons top 8 chances. Seems like the most Dragons thing. R27 is then the loser takes all spoon bowl, which is the most engrossing yet terrible game of footy this season. Ends in a 10-10 draw after 90 mins.

Souths a bottom 3 team for sure.

(Galvin is OK, its the no Tigers club. You're allowed one)

I thank the great Cow for Samuela's fine performance last night.  He obviously lurks here.

Of course I lurk here. If it didn't close I'd never leave

Would be nice for you guys if it was a game that mattered, but I'm not sure there is a team in the comp we'd beat atm, let alone panthers and roosters back to back.
Good thing sticky is building for the future though with all these youth-and-definitely-not-pants-on-head selections though

Latrell Mitchell 1 game ban (when TBA) and $20k fine. 20k a gram is very steep, personally wouldn't pay more than 300$ if I was him

Having been promoted to starting, what are the odds on Tevaga taking Reed Mahoney's head off given it's his last home game for the Warriors?

I'd kill for $300, those prices are long gone.

I'm hoping new recruit Matty B puts up some numbers today. I'll take a 60.

Having a quick look at his history, it doesn't look like he's scored below 60 against us in the past.
That's given a LOT of kick metres though. Might not need to be kicking long in this one though, just hope he's involved in lot of their tries?

I’m old the days of me knowing the prices are clearly long gone.
