I hadn't been to Bris in about 10 years when I went for the last state of origin and I was shocked by how many massive buildings there are now. West End is absolutely packed with high rises now too

Haha, that would have been awesome!  Nah, I was there end of June for 5 days just before it opened-we had a "Festival of Kev" for my old man's 80th at a BnB on acreage halfway to the Goldie.  I got half a day in the City when I got in to have a look around.  

Was a hit and run trip around Work so didn't contact any of you degenerates for a potential meet up, although you were definitely on my mind  MF and I did try to work something out on the Goldie but it didn't quite work out.

I would love to get something happening for next year and even if it doesn't end up being Magic Round, I'll be booking accom when the Draw comes out (prices have been insane the last 2 Magic Rounds) just in case.

Looks a nice place for super saturday, need to make a trip up for a weekend.

A mates just moved to Brisbane so we're in talks to attend Magic Round next year, will likely come have a beer with the NRLFF boys at some stage.

Yeah, I hadn't been there since just before COVID myself.  Back then it felt like both Perth and Bris CBD's were about the same size and as busy as each other, but this time there just seemed to be a lot more happening in the City.  A lot of construction and the new train line.  What surprised me most was how busy the Markets were on an average Wednesday morning.

If you're very lucky Revs that brew might be Grand Final Bliss in a few weeks time!
