anyone want to discuss corey norman? at this stage i've traded him in for RTS, but it feels dirty. real dirty. will he bite me in the ass? on the other hand, when i have a look at how my team will shape up over byes, he is a big +

    Morning Lads,

Long time stalker, first time poster.

Need some thoughts on my trades if possible, thought i was looking alright a couple of weeks ago but slowing starting to struggle along now. 25 trades and 32k cash.

    Smith Peats
    JDB Surgess (Packer / Sue)
CParker Napa Mannering (Hoffman Henry JSaifiti)
    Johnson Taylor (Martin Feeney)
    Holland JCroker (PMata'utia Auva'a)
    Munster Mitchell Gutherson (JBowen Eden)

Massively lacking in the backs. Work comp is heating up and sitting 4th out of 30 so any advice would be great!

    Current plan for the weekend:
Taylor - Lolohea (With plan to get rid of PMata'utia next week and move Lolo into centres)
JSaifiti - ? (Maybe Ese'ese to free up cash for a WFB keeper next week)

    Thoughts?

I dont think there is too much wrong with bringing in norman. The only thing to consider is if you dont see him as a keeper is he worth two trades

Just out of curiosity. How many players from your planned final 17 do you all have ATM?

With a hypothetical injury free rest of the season.

    I have 12.

one is a forced trade (RTS). my very loose plans at the moment are to upgrade hastings (my other starting half) in the next couple of weeks to a gun. then post origin period i will upgrade norman to a gun.

my other two halves are taylor + TMM, both who in my opinion still have a bit to offer for the time being.

if i were to upgrade RTS to a gun right now (eg hunt/milf/areynolds/etc) then it would mean a downgrade elsewhere, choices of moeroa/hhunt/taylor/blawrence/aubbs - none of which i think need to go or be cashed in right now.

i have 25 trades (after bringing in norman) so i'm not entirely strapped for them just yet.

He's in for Chambers who's out for a while (2-3 months I think). Scott is a couple of weeks away from returning but he's a pencil thin 18 year old & they may just play him in the lower grades or he could replace Hampton or Kennar. I'm bringing in Kennar for J. Saifiti via Aubs & he'll be in my npr's as I don't trust the likes of Auva'a, Bateman, Felisi, Blake, Ese'ese, Kaufusi, Asiata or A. Elliot. The only thing with Kennar is bad byes & I'd rather not have him but he seems more nailed than any other cheap option.

    Cheers WL, you too Finchy.

Think I might bring him in for RTS then and hope that he gets a few more price rises so I can trade him out after his game in the bye rounds

Bodene or Mannering. Mannering has that potential and great value at his price but the POD factor of Bodene is huge

9, but got a few borderlines in hastings, mitchell, barba and whitehead. Might bump it up another with either harris/johnson this week. But as has been mentioned norman looks good in my team for byes, worst case scenario he is a 40pt/week 4th res.

    Howdy Gents

Longtime listener, first time caller :-)

I am downgrading Codey Walker so I can upgrade BLaw to JDB or similar. My halves are Mbye (ouch) / Hastings with Ash Taylor on the bench.

Thoughts at the moment are Moltzen / Jeeney will add over $200K to the piggy bank but doubtful either will see game time. Moltzen is due back RND 9 but don't see him pushing anyone out of that team ?

Rankin - adds $123K to the bank, likely to be consistent green dot but unlikely to go up in value. I also like Moltzen / Rankin / Jeeney for felxibility with Barba in my side.

Was considering gambling with McCrone . Decent points last week and could be a handy reserve. Does anyone have a theory on his job security when Benji is back ? Haven't seen much chat about this in fantasy land.

    Loving your work.

Wait what? You want to trade Cody Walker OUT for Feeney/Moltzen? You want to bring Feeney/Moltzen into your team?

    Hey Finch

Yeah, I don't really want them in my team but I wouldn't mind the $200K it will give me to invest elsewhere :-)

Any thoughts on McCrone or Rankin ? Both will add just over $100K to my coffers
