A forum newbie right here. This is my third year of fantasy and third year of following nrl. Was never a fan of the game before but fantasy got me into the sport big time! Was happy last year, I finished 504 for the year so stoked at that for my second year. Things this year started well but have dropped off and keep dropping off, so I wonder if I could get some advice. I'm currently outside the top 5000 and falling. Only managed 780 last week, things just didn't go my way. Here's my current team;
(C)am (Parcell)
Fifita, Surgess (Blaw, Evans)
Lowe, Fensom, Carty (Bhana, Leuluai, Henry)
SJ, Hastings (Taylor, Feeny)
Holland, Claw (Fergs, Lolohea)
Barba, Mitchell, Mansour (Gordon, Gutherson)
I have 26 trades and $148,000 in the bank. The plan was last week I went Safiti to Lolohea with the intention of playing Lolohea and moving Claw up to the second row to beef it up a bit. Now I think for the first time, I'm at a bit of a loss. So many frustrating players.
Lowe I had last year and didn't start with him, but he's probably my fav player and picked him up round 2 as things were looking good and things were until, JT and Cooper kissed and made up, shunning Lowe althougher. Hiku obviously doesn't like Mansour and Carty is probably the most frustrating player to watch too along with Fergs who prances around tackles cause he might break a nail.
I'm thinking a few things. I've been trying to conserve trades and go with a more pick and stick style but that doesn't seem to be working.
Evans --> JTro
Mansour --> Munster
Aim for BHunt somehow
Aim for Semi from eihter Gordon, Taylor or Fergs and go Evans to either Tolman or MCooper?
Go for two backs;
Evans --> Munster
Taylor --> Semi or BJ
As you can see, a bit all over. I think I need another decent forward though.
Any suggestions with anything would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to ongoing discussions too. I know the timing of this post is bad with the squad almost announed hahaha.
