I think fanhub should hire some people who understand the concept of nrl

Thats happened a few times already this year. I believe most ankle taps are tackles but hey Prozone don't

I do not believe it is a tackle but I certainly don't think it should be counted as a tackle break?

So if you got smashed by someone bounce back from them and land on the ground and get tackled by another player on the ground. The original tackler takes no further part and runs back the 10 metres did you break that tackle?

An ankle tap is still an attempt at a tackle, and the ballrunner has every right to get up and keep going, so to me any missed tackle should also count as a tackle break.

I dunno about your example, it's nothing like an ankle tap. If the ballrunner is being driven backwards, then it probably shouldn't count as a tackle break. Given how many TBs Napa had the other week, I've got a feeling they are counting those anyway.

Knights penalised for being offside from the 20 metre line by tackling the Roosters on the 30. Maybe my maths is bad.

A failed ankle tap is definitely regarded as a missed tackle by the NRL clubs.

The NRL definition of a 'tackle break' is the total of all missed tackles by the opposition. Therefore failed ankle taps count towards the ball runner's tackle breaks.

Does that speculative pass to noone count as a TA to Mitchell?

Should do, the commentary even said it was a try assist to Mitchell and without the pass Fergo would not have scored

No different to a speculative kick, his pass put a player in the gap.

Though can see he hasn't been given the points

I put josh macguire up there in the same group. Mitchell hasnt been given that try assist/lb assist. its was a bit dubious but the commentators mentioned it straight away
