Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 30
I honestly feel like the biggest problem is the financial incentive. If you could earn as much money playing for the 'minnow nations' I think the selection criteria would matter a whole lot less as a lot of players would prefer to play with their home nation anyway. That would require the larger nations to cover the cost though and there to be a lot more games for those nations each year.

Or the larger nations to pay their players less.
How many players tonight would say they're not playing if they were paid bugga all money. Surely none. They must think it's a privilege to represent their country??
All profits from these games should be plowed back into the "grass roots."

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 30
Whilst I kind of agree, I haven't really got much of an issue with players being further rewarded for the achievement. Besides, wasn't one of the reasons we have TP payments the way they are because our superstars aren't getting enough cash? Good luck getting the reduced payments past the player association.code delta wrote:

On fantasy topic, is there somewhere I can see on the fly fantasy points for this game?
Edit: Should clarify, i mean all the players, not just those I've selected

I'm not allowed to post links yet.
So got that NRL place, then Watch Live at top (fixtures), then player stats. (hope that makes sense)
Lets try a link you can just copy and past into your browser .... matchcentre.nrl.com/match/2016/133/20161330110/#player-stats

4 of my fantasy team played tonight. I expect all to have been injured and miss next weeks games. It's how my year is descending.
And a Barba question was asked a while ago. Any thoughts. Have made money with him but I'm confused about him being a keeper. Not good for the bye rounds, mmm

Or how do you know they were better than fox?wolfking wrote:After watching that, all I can say is thank fuck fox got the rights to every game. Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 30
I'm tossing up between trading taylor or feeney to lamb in my halves. With the feeney option I will have an extra reserve to play for a few weeks in taylor who has scored a little better than my other options (blaw, gutho, gordon, bhana). Also gets rid of a red dot which is always a good thing? but i will probably have to use 2 trades now to take care of taylor, and then lamb later on.
If i move taylor on then thats a peaked playing being milked, and gives me 350k for making trades in the future. Also i am thinking that it saves one trade as i may keep feeney till the end. ANyone one elese in this position have a different perspective?

They have the rights to every home and away game live. If I have to watch Channel 9 coverage a handful of times a year to watch Origin and Tests then I can live with that. Certainly beats having to watch them every week. That would be an absolute nightmare.
That and the quality of NRL 360 three times a week, Sterlo, and the Matty Johns Show, and replays of all games, and NSW Cup games. As well as Super League. Well worth the money mate.
