Sorry mate, I definitely got an egg at 18. Up to 21 now but my mons are way weaker than friends around the same level.

This is what you're supposed to get at level 18: Great Ball x10, Hyper Potion x10, Revive x5, Razz Berry x5
Looks like you get eggs at levels 9,10,15,20,25,30,35 etc

Unless they hand them out three at a time that list is wrong. I had none left at 19 and now have 3 at 21.

If your game freezes while you're in the middle of catching a wild Pokémon, you run the risk of losing the catch completely. But Poké-fans have figured out a handy hack to make sure you can still keep your catch. According to a Pokémon Go fan Twitter account, if your game freezes while you're in the middle of catching a Pokémon, you should "close the app completely," then switch your phone onto airplane mode. Then restart the app.

When the title screen says "No Internet Connectivity," go back into settings and switch airplane mode off. When you go back into your game, the Pokémon you were catching when the app froze should be in your Poké bag (hopefully).

Whats the tip for battles?? I can barely get a hit in and rarely dodge anything. I had 2 x 600cp (Golbat and Rhydon) get smashed by a 450cp (Golbat)

I like to dodge a couple of times when the battle starts then just tap as fast as I can with a few dodges thrown in here and there for good measure. Have taken down mons with 400cp more then mine in the very first round with some health to spare at the end.

Personally, the current state the gyms are, you don't really need to do any dodging. Just click the screen to do the attack, and then you will notice under your HP bar, a blue bar will fill up. When it is full, you can hold down to do your special/secondary attack. Sometimes it's more effective just do use the basic attacks though eg water gun.

Only had my first gym battle yesterday and couldn't believe how easy it was took down all 3 pokes with my 1122 Vaporeon and 2 800 hypnos the last was a 1700 Lapras

Vaporeon is a tank, especially with Water gun.

Going to evolve my first eevee soon - which should I go for? Thinking Jolteon just because I dont have many electrical ones. Are they all the same power, just different types?

Vaporeon is the strongest of the three by far.

Save the naming trick for when your a higher level. No matter what you get now you wont be holding any gyms for long with it.

Had a 5K egg hatch today and out popped @ryno_ well at least a name sake. Also caught my 1st Abra and 5 double headed dildo birds

That's my understanding. I've seen people claim it works multiple times but I think its just coincidence.

Then I better change them back. The other day Master 7 wanted a meow changed to be named Mum. He did it and was so happy, then I transferred it and told him I'd sold his mum for candy. Wifey was pissed.
