Think I'm gonna hold Hastings for now also and see how it pans out. Would mean I need to either run with Hastings and if he's dropped sub in Guth, or I could bench Hastings now for Lamb or Blaw. Thoughts? Actually might wait until the raiders match in case Fensom's a late inclusion and if not then make a call on either Blaw or Hastings/Guth

I'm going to hold him only to save the bucket load of cash for a premium upgrade.

Is Gutherson (19) or Holland (42) a more important trade out this week.

Both trades will be for Semi. So I'll either be playing Semi and Holland (trade Guth) or Semi and Auva'a (trade Holland)

Holland if he has another game without a try would stand to lose some money, where as Guth should hit 19 a little bit easier.

Either way I think both are gone by next week. What do you guys see as more urgent to get rid of?

Does frizell, Mooper play origin? If so get Ma'u instead?

Im trying to work out which of the Eels and Dragons players I should bring in as they have great byes. Any dragons players will last right up to the tricky round 18 before having to make a decision on them.

And after Round 12 I'm looking at Roosters players, lots of Roosters lol

Tough call. I'm holding both for round twelve at this stage and just hope going they hit their BEs. I think the roosters come out firing this week and Auvaa could go okay against the dragons. So maybe Holland out. Flip a coin

This new Hastings rumor is interesting.  Even though there's no viable source, it's come around twice in a few weeks, so you'd think there would have to be something behind it.

Just had the brilliant idea of waiting until game day to see if Hastings is in or out then getting Semi if out, until I then realised Barba and Feeny will both be locked out, fuck.

Might just bite the bullet and go straight to Milf or Hunt. 40K or whatever it is to upgrade him to Milf is a steal.

And yeah, Mooper is a pom.

Hastings, even if he gets dropped this week (and assuming he's back the next) would be well worth having for the bye-rounds, particularly IF Pearce plays Origin. I reckon he's a hold, even if he's gonna be dropped this week.

But if for some reason he's dropped this week, why would he be back next round? He's getting dropped for a reason. If he was 200K less or something you'd hold him, but with a price tag at 423K it's too easy to get a keeper gun now based on all the uncertainty.

There's way too much uncertainty over the whole thing.
    1) is he dropped and why exactly?
    2) when/if will he be back?
    3) will Pearce play Origin?
    4) will he play rounds 15 and 18?
    5) how will Matterson go?

Funny to think both Hastings and Jniko both are out of first grade now...
I always thought Hastings was a level below a keeper, but his bye coverage is quite handy

Uncertain is the point really! I don't claim to know about this particular situation, but he's had a pretty good year right, often guys get dropped to put a rocket under them and they are back the following week. For the sake of potentially saving a trade then all I am saying is it could be worth holding off a week to see what happens. On top of that many would be trading based on a rumour at this stage b/c and as it stands one wouldn't know by the time the trade is made whether he is actually going to get dropped or not. Also remember the Roosters have red 12 off, so Hastings would have a couple weeks to show he's worth picking again and as I say if Pearce plays Origin they will need him in the fray.

Well this Hastings news has mucked things up with my reserves.
Looks like I am STILL going to have to rely on Russell Packer's score. I thought I had finally been able to get him out of my 17.

Either that or take a risk and keep the R on Hastings, with the possibility of being able to switch it to Toutai, but Toutai may also not be playing.
AE would be JJ Felise or Welch, if either or both actually end up playing.

    Packer's 30 is probably safest.
    Thoughts?

Hastings to Semi for me, up against Vunivalu this week then Uate the week after I think now with a BE of 14 is the best time to get him.
Already have Matterson so I'm happy, bought him two weeks ago as insurance for Hastings and thinking Pearce may play Origin.

    M. Cooper is English so he won't play origin. Frizell has a chance so wait on him.

The origin side has been leaked & Pearce won't play. (Maloney & A-Rey will play)
However Ferg will so I reckon Matterson will fill in for Ferg & Hastings will come into the side.

I sold hastings the first time this rumour was going around. I had to make a decision before final team list so played it safe and got rid of him. He got 70 that week!

Interesting, cheers. Any chance Pearce plays if NSW stink it up in game 1? Correct me if I am wrong but Pearce and Maloney have a reasonable history together right?

Anything else of note in that NSW squad?
