Johnny B Goode wrote:So looking at the Saturday games this week how likely is it the Broncos/Cowboys/Storm will give some of their Origin players a rest? I mean looking at the Cows they face Newcastle at home would they really think it's necessary to play JT after a 3 day turnaround? Given how sloppy they were against the Dragons and how spirited Newcastle were I wouldn't be so arrogant as to rest all of them but would they really think it's worth risking JT?
Also worried about Cam as a captain option this week (Well not really he'd just back up and smash out another 70 wouldn't he?) and Gillett getting rested with short turnarounds.

It's always a bit of a lottery. The Broncos do tend to rest more players then other teams though I reckon. Could be due to the percentage of Broncs players, or could be due to the higher chance of them being a Friday night game.

The bigger risk, which is harder to counter, is player's getting early showers. So in the JT v Knights scenario, JT probably starts the game but doesn't necessarily play 80. Just as an example.

Let's wait til AFTER origin to start speculating, guys.

For all we know Gal could rip JT's head off and then I'm pretty sure he'd be playing reduced minutes (headless JT still better than most NRL halves)

    J. Friend with a b/e of 95 this week @ 594k. Get him now or wait for his price to drop. With trades running low I might just bring in keepers so I might go Macca to J. Friend & captain Friend over CS9 as CS9 might be a bit fatigued from origin.

Canberra times reporting Bateman and tapine might be rested this week. With priest promoted!

Hope it's rubbish surely papa won't back up Friday night.

Is there any update on Cartwright?

Also, Jayden S'ua? Still a worthy cash out? Likely to get at least 2 more game surely?

You could play the head by itself barking instructions in the ingoal and it would be of more use than most NRL halves.

That seems odd re Tapine & Bateman rested but if true it could mean more minutes for Fensom.

According to all the filthy cockroaches we have 2 heads anyway so JT will be fine.

Definitely a hard one because it never feels good bringing in a guy whose bound to be cheaper next week. But lets be honest Friend is going to score 60+ most weeks, the sooner hes in your team the better.

What are the chances of Gordon moving to the roosters line up this week? Kinda hoping he gets a run with them and Mitchell moves to the ctrs or wing so I can field 17 at least. Selfish I know, but feeney is in my scoring line-up... Be kind to me team lists please..

Are there any rounds from now where Smith and Friend are both out?

Only trade this week is Holland to Munster with Aitken going to CTRs, it means I have to play Avua'a this week but I think the points difference is worth it.

Would anyone consider Fensom to SST a good trade? SST would have to be a keeper at this point.

I love this kind of 'after the fact' talk.

He was a $130 starting fullback for knights.
Yeah real fucking silly to take a chance on that - Edit (as a cow in the backs)

Again, talking about the airheads who traded him in this round. We were all blinded by him preseason.

Roosters are the best team for byes that I can see from now.

Don't think so? Anyone from the Roosters should be a good pickup, already had one of their byes and play the 2 remaining big byes.

Is anyone else other than Bren still holding JDB ?

At the moment my pack looks like this. My other reserve is Parcel

JGraham / JBrom with JDB and Leulual NPR
    JTurbo / Surgess / ET/ R:BCart / R:Whitehead / R:Pauli

If Pauli keeps getting his 70-80 minutes I think (possible with Rochow out even longer) I can hold out a couple more weeks otherwise I will bring in Fifita or James

Anyone in a similar situation ?

I heard "out til rd 16" and ran. Any player out for longer than 4 weeks is a trade imo.

I think hold Pauli for a keeper or maybe pick up the cheap Mannering?
