My strategy for the last 4 weeks has been purely bye planning so I'll take 100 spots from a bloke who hopefully fucks off for the rest of the year verses a bloke who moves me o spots.

With all the injuries and departures at the Eels, whats their starting line-up likely gonna look like do you reckon? Particularly I guess in the Cs, WFBs & the 2nd halve. Also did they lose some forwards vs the Knights? I felt like half their team was broken by the end of the game... Any changes expected there/ guys who might now pick up extra minutes?

I guess I am thinking that if Gordon leaves (has that been confirmed) that Gutherson goes to FB, with Radradra and French on the wings for the rest of the season, is that about right?

If so what will be their plan for C and Half with Takairangi out for a few rounds, Foran out for good, and Jennings on Origin Duty?

I'm hoping perhaps a good cash out might come up that will score a few points of the bye period.

It's a cash out, so not a wasted trade.  I'm not bringing a Feeney or Asiata in to get 1 score out of them.  You are bringing Copley in potentially?

With Loomer's question, 30 points is the difference between hundreds and hundreds of ranks at the moment.  I can bring someone in who doesn't play and is a cash out, but I can potentially get points this round out of that player as well.  Said bloke might score a 7, said bloke could jag a brace and score 40.  I'll take any points at this stage, why would you not?

Well if you were going to cash the player out anyway, then yes, go for it. Get whatever points you can out of the cash out.
But sometimes holding the trade might be better value than 30 points.
When a 50 point scorer gets injured in round 24, you want to be able to replace him, and not get stuck with some dud being in your 17 because you are out of trades.
You just need to make sure that you get enough cash out to be worth it.

For myself, yes I am considering Copley.

I have Addin Fonua-Blake as a failed cow sitting in my FRF

I was half planning on just letting him sit there for the rest of the year doing nothing. Maybe get a game out of him next bye.
If I trade him to Copley it gives me an extra player rounds 15+18. But only nets me $20k in cash. and wastes a trade doing so. Would let me get Surgess into FRF as DPP. Don't currently have any DPP in my mfront row, so putting someone there will help with future flexibility.

    My other options are
    a) take the hit this week and cop an AE. Then upgrade Holland to a gun centre in the next couple weeks. Between Aitken, Gutherson, Holland replacement I should be bable to cover CTR every week. That was my initial plan

    b) Take a punt on Hurrell. Ideally wait until after a week or 2, just to see what he is like at the gold coast. See if he is actually worth trading him in at all. If he does gun it for the next 2 weeks he could be a cheap gun replacement for Holland. Downside for that is it doesn't help me this week 9and don't make any cash swapping him for Fonue-Blake, so a bit of a wasted trade on that part.

Just planned out how many trades I'll need to get a final team I'd be generally happy with. 4 trades of downgrades, 4 trades for upgrades, will leave me 6 trades for injuries and the following team:

    Smith, Friend
    Graham, Fifita, JTrbo
    Taupau, Whitehead, Taylor, Mau
    Hunt, JT, Norman
    Leilua, Aitken
    Tedesco, Barba, Mitchell.

I'd like to get Munster, but that would mean another trade and settling for cheaper players than Fifita and Friend.

Does No Worries work at Coles or something. Fair plug in the origin thread.

    What's going to happen tonight?

More tumbleweed as everyone is off drinking to enjoy origin.

Or a flurry of activity and a page 51 party because we are all sad sacks with no life who will sit on the couch watching the game with the fantasy thread open on our phones/laptops

You must be a Blues supporter if you cannot tell the difference in avatars. QLD - the smart state.

Apparently this is official. The Storm have signed Addo-Carr on a 3 year deal as a replacement for Koroibete. I'm not sure when he goes.

Asked a workmate to pick a number between 1 and 26. She chose 7. So $10 on Adam Reynolds for FTS lol leave it to chance even more than usual.

Eh Origin, just as likely as anything you'd be likely to pick if you tried to do it yourself. Seems like a good system. Unfortunately for you its NSW and they won't get on the board outside an early barrage of gift 2 pointers.

My halves are Milf, Barba, Lamb, Littlejohn.

In other words I'm pooped. Could be 30 points or 130 points lol

Is Lamb to French a bad trade if it leaves you with 3 Eels players in the WFB spot???

Well sometimes when your team is doing bad there is always that one player who is still a gun for fantasy eg Dugan/Tedesco.

Eels wont make the 8 this year, as soon as they have another loss they will lose the will to play IMO. Foran is a big out.

I think having one Eels player is fine, 3 though I wouldn't be too happy with that. Could score 20 points each. Its kind of like throwing all your eggs in 1 basket.
