He pretty much said he has let them play their natural game a bit more, that he understands thats how the confidence of this team builds as a result, so it does make you wonder whether this could be the turning point?.

They'll need to back it up next week. I think most will hold off judgement as well.

They also had Graham Henry assisting them this weekend

Yep it was me but because I have fucked up the layout of my team I have to run with 16 this week. If I brought Tedesco in, I would have 2 NPRs. I have stupidly locked a couple of non-starters into the 17 already so can't swap them out.

Scoring OK so far this week so will save a trade and look again next week.

Here comes the famous Hally charge.

531/9 with Smith in my NPR's
All my forwards seem to be banging out 50+ this week (+ Leilua)
Hope this is a sign of things to come

Interesting, was this the first week he's been around?? They were talking about him ages ago.

They really are a hard team to follow. The way they played today just reinforces how fucken useless they have been for much of the last 5 years. The talent is there in droves they just can't seem to get it together week in week out. I'd love to know what the problem is. DO you think they just don't care enough/understand what it truly means to be a pro team in the NRL??

Yeah pretty sure he was brought in around the same time as the energy drinks/pills thing came out (coincidence?). He's had 2 clear weeks at least to do something thanks to the bye. He's got to have spoken about mindset because the physical ability and talent is there, it's just not being harnessed correctly. I don't think he would have had any "direct" influence on the team by way of on the field stuff. But getting the guys to trust in themselves a bit more and believe in their ability is definitely something I can imagine coming from Henry.

His brief time with the Argies turned them around somewhat in the rugby and I remember one interview he did specifically mentioning how most of his job as a team "advisor" is about winning the mental game.

TL;DR jury is out on whether the team has turned a corner, but if it has then I can see some of the success being attributed to Henry

Jesus Christ, if it takes Graham Henry to come in and tell Cappy that the Warriors play better when they throw the ball around then what the fuck has everyone else around there been doing for the last 18 months.

Zak Hardaker available immediately to the NRL to anyone with 500k plus wages to spare. Reigning man of steel (brilliant for past three years and terrible this year, along with the rest of Leeds), would kill it in the NRL and in Fantasy, different class in terms of defence, ball-carrying and physicality to Tomkins, but can't pass. Pretty much a Josh Dugan clone in style and ability. Gold Coast rumoured...

Updates have been kind again with Kata up to 57. So it is just Ben Hunt letting down my team so far this week with my only score less than 54. Only had 2 players play today so still lots of chances left for disappointments.

350/9 lol. All the Broncos players I had sucked major ass. Starting to re-consider Roberts as a keeper but I suppose he's no more up/down than the Latrell's and Barba's who have their quiet days too. Not a score of 14 quiet though.
Milf well I'll admit I bought him in because I knew I'd break him and everybody ahead of me had him so I decided to take them down with me. Not really working out so well when other players I have suck too but I'll be rid of Nikorima next week so that's good.

I'd take him at the raiders in a heartbeat! Won't be us though, he will kill it wherever he goes.

Probably no coincidence that Wighton had his best game of the season on Friday!

Thinking about it, Souths might be the best fit for him if GI is moving permanently to the halves.

Bennett typically spends minimal time working on attack in the first 1/2 to 2/3 of a season, focussing on the basics and defence. Bennett really would have drilled into Roberts how much he wants him to focus on his defence, which has improved markedly on last season. But the lack of focus on attack shows in the way the Broncos are struggling to get him involved. We're much more comfortable down the left as well which doesn't help.... If he had 1/2 the amount of ball Jack Reed had off Milf he'd be killing it.

I've got Roberts as well and can't afford to trade him out.... I think we may be in for some more rough times as Roberts owners over the Origin period but I have faith we will be repaid on the home stretch. Hopefully we will see him involved more, and some more polished set plays involving him.

You could see on the Hunt has been trying to get him ball in space recently, he fucked it up noticeably against the Tigers. But it's a good sign he's trying and it should click sooner rather than later.

Not that they could fit him in but Hardaker to the Eels would make that back line fucking deadly

The game stats in the regular NRL app (not the fantasy app) is where I go.
