Just that it doesn't really work in the Nrl. You need a core of forwards who are on the field for extensive periods.

Please don't mention the war SI (KFP doesn't like it). I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it. Wink

Nah FPN is basically on his way to the ESL and Barnett has now been released. Lima is out for 10 weeks, Papa is a QLD cert, I think we've found the right amount of depth rather than a surplus (If we picked up another injury now we'd probably need to play Kennedy and then NFI, lynch?).

Also, I did try and warn people about Bateman. Ricky loves to tinker with minutes and positions for each and every game and he sees Tapine and Bateman as long term development prospects. I wouldn't be surprised if you see Fensom back after the bye and Bateman get a rest. Really unless you its Papa (and perhaps Whitehead) I wouldn't be willing to bet on who's going to be in and out of the team, or what minutes they will get.

It seems that we've all reached an emotional nirvana & this thread will be better off for it.

Now if you had to pick between Cleary & Lolohea who would you pick.
These hard decisions make me all teary. Why can't you just choose both?

Not sure I agree. I think one of the big strengths Ricky see's with our pack is that Soli, Bateman, Vaughan and even Tapine are guys who can either play large minutes and get through a lot of work, but are also effective if given a short stint with instructions to play the impact role.

Papa and Whitehead are your core who stay on the whole time (and I'd say a large part of this is having that defensive consistency on the edges which is already a bit shaky for us). Incidentally I feel this is part of the reason Fenno has fallen a little out of favour, I'm not sure he can play the same role as the other 4.

Lastly you have Boyd and Paulo who are just beasts you unleash on the other team, no need to go into detail about them.

I got Bateman in for $134k in Round 5. I'm not entirely unhappy with having to offload him, any profit is better than no profit.

Maybe its why im so far down the ranks this year, but why would anyone hold or want Evans now ?  After averaging 20 a week his last three round average is about 28 with a last start 37. And u have held him all season. I think my patients has literally gone. Same with parker and holland, why would u still have them now ? Parkers a must sell weeks ago. And holland has stalled weeks ago
    Sell up fellas !

Not sure if you're being sarcastic cyclops Evans averages 34 for the year, playing fuck all minutes. Hell fire up now at lock.

Parker - no longer fantasy relevant. Agree.

Holland averages 42. Only behind 3 other centres and by 1 point, apart from Leilua.

135k profit not to shabby. Did you get his 48 or was in your NPR's?

@ Archer. I think your Raiders have assembled an excellent squad with plenty of depth & talent. Also the brand of footy played is a joy to watch & all across the park there are gamebreakers. Even though I'm a Bulldogs supporter the Raiders are my 2nd favourite team because of the style of footy they play.

I got the 48 but missed the 44 the week before. Swings and roundabouts

Evans named at Lock for the 1st time. He plays the next 2 big bye rounds. He is a cheap option that could potentially average 40-45 if he stays at Lock. My personal thought is that his PPM is going to nose dive, but that doesn't matter if he gets 50-60 minutes. Purely on points v price with him starting at Lock, he could be a steal, or a MASSIVE regret.

Yeah was just thinking similar. 18 months ago we were worried if they could even field four 1st grade props, now they've got a wonderful mix of size and skill there. The next couple of years are promising for Raiders fans.

Cheers WL, I wish I could be as optimistic about the team but I think I've been conditioned otherwise. If we can improve our defence and the Halves click with Hodgson I might change my attitude. At least we can be entertaining though, glad to hear we've got you in our corner come tomorrows game, too many pony supporters around here lately Razz

Hmm.... I haven't really looked at Evans but you've put some very tempting info out there.

How is married life treating you old mate? Does Mrs DK let you play ALL the NRL fantasy games or are you in semi-retirement?  Wink

Just found him on FB and looks like he is doing two years clinical experience as a dentist before a last exam next year.

Going good mate. Can you believe we got back home from traveling America for our honeymoon on the day the first NRL game of the season kicked off! She still thinks I planned it.

Put a team together in all the comps a couple of hours before the first lockout. I did miss out on the fanatics overall league though which is a shame after being last years sportal leagues champion. ST won't let me in haha I thought he was soft?!

I think you should come back to Fantasy next year.
