If you watch the front on version, it looks like he deliberately (so yes) taps (throws) it forward and up over the the line, after he loses the ball when passing it. So to answer your question - yes. Even if its just a reaction that he didnt pre-plan, you still cant do it. The tap forward is not a ricochet like off a falcon or what ever because he is playing at the ball and trying to stop it from hitting the ground.

You can not do that, because it is the same as throwing the ball over the defensive line.

Roach also said that Benji hit it, then he said it was hit out of his hand from behind, which were both totally incorrect.

It's clearly an odd situation and I think the decision was wrong. I've given you my valid reasoning for why I think it was the incorrect call.

So we just disagree, leave it at that.

If you watched it live you would have seen footage of T Rex looking up searching for the ball because he didn't know what was happening.

You have given reasoning for what you think was an incorrect rule, I'm telling you what the rule states as to why it was the correct call. You can disagree all you want, the call was right as per the rules.

It's a loose ball that he is deemed to be juggling, if it hits someone else it's a knock on.

Yeah, Roach also says he thought benji hit the ball a couple of times.

He literally taps it up with his hand after he loses it. It's clearly a reaction, but he fucking taps it up, over the line. It didnt hit his arm then go flying up and over the line. His hand taps it up. Its not a ricochet. He has his head up looking for the ball because the ball is up in the air,  where it tapped it... far out. There is no point what so ever where he loses track of the ball.

He attempts to pass it, it sticks to his hand because of too much grippo or what ever (thats what Des said) then he think he loses or is losing control of it.
His other hand, in an attempt to stop a knock on then taps the ball up - then it travels up and over the defensive line, he recovers, they score. I have even marked the bit that's illegal in red for you.

Just because he wasnt thinking "hhmmmm bro im gona chuck it up ova da d line and be a smart guy" when his left hand taps it up over the line, does not mean its just play on.

Your's and their interpretation of what happened is wrong, I can understand why the ref's fucked it up on the field tho but after watching it again and again, I can't fathom how you can't understand that its the wrong call - or even admit that is somewhat ambiguous. I can see why the went one way, I just disagree.

I'll even humour you and say that it was not a pass (it clearly was an attempted pass though), ill say it was a juggle/fumble just for you. The difference with your last post and what happened - the reason it should have been brought back is BECAUSE IT WENT OVER THE LINE OF THE DEFENCE. You can not juggle the ball over the line of the defence. You also can not purposefully tap it up over the fucking line of the defence in order to recover the fumble. If he just fumbles and regathers without it going over the fucking line of the defence, I would totally agree with you about it just being play on.

Anyway, this has gone on way too long, and you think its one thing, I think its the other.
Post again if you feel you need to have the last word, but have a few more before you mate, you might come up with a better argument.

Show me the rule where you can't regather past the defensive line, which is all he has done. I know you cannot throw the ball intentionally over the line and regather. At no stage did I say it wasn't fucked up - shit way to let in a try, but by the rules it was correct and T Rex did nothing wrong.

There is no rule that says you cant regather past the defensive line - but thats not what happened.
It went OVER the defensive line, It went OVER marshall's head.
And, just as William's intentional tap up went OVER the defensive line - I am over this
