As an honorary Welshman I have to admit our backs are up against the wall there. The AB's always start slow in their first game of the season so who knows.

I forgot to mention - rugby is boring. This is what happens in a rugby game. 50 minutes of lineout, scrum & kicking the ball. 10 minutes of collapsed scrums. 10 minutes of penalty goals & finally a glorious 10 minutes of running the ball.

    Always liked you WL

If We* get within 18 points I will be ecstatic mate, when not much is expected we usually show up but fall just short of the SH! Can't see anything changing Saturday unfortunately

Fuck, Ben Hunt's defense is quite possibly the worst in the game.

    Terrible game all round.

Eden needs to be shipped back to the UK pretty damn quick. Surely the Broncos have someone else that could come onto the wing, he is fucking dreadful.

Since Billy Slater is done for the year and not playing, I'll say fair enough then.

Don't know why we didn't ship the prick off back to that shitty little island he came from after his first game.

Carlin a good prospect but way to raw and not ready to first grade.

Pain wrote:It's like the bronc haven't shown Roberts any set plays yet. All he gets is a chuck from Hunt and 'see what you can do with that mate'.

That's typical Bennett. It's all defence defence defence until post Origin. Don't over coach the players and don't let other teams what we have got this time of year. He usually does another mini pre season gets a lot of miles in the boys legs which often contributes to the slump, but he reckons helps the run home.

As a Roberts owner unfortunately expecting some more pain over origin, but hope he makes up for it in the back end of the year. He'll be more involved in set plays. And he did seem to be looking for the ball a lot more tonight... Just that nothing came off.

Yeah as a Hunt owner is defense is shocking. Mind you the only h/b in the nrl that even looks like he's interested in tackling & can actually tackle is DCE who really rips in. The rest never really commit themselves but instead try & hold on until the 2nd & 3rd tackler come in.

My preference goes NRL -> International rugby -> International league -> Super rugby. So I'm not gonna lie and say I'm not looking forward to the weekend sport-wise lol

Up to this season though he was one of the best. Wallace is up there as well. Foran too.

DCE is a great defender. Fair point though. SJ can go okay when he decides not to put on a tantrum. As a Milf owner watching him hang onto a sleeve of BJ time and time again had me biting my nails haha.

I would agree with that but super rugby I don't watch much. This conference system they have is crap. What I do enjoy is the women's sports. They all play fair & hard & there's no rubbish going on which makes it very entertaining. For e.g. womens soccer where they don't dive & roll about on the ground & the challenges are harder which the refs allow. In the male alternative a player just has to get touched & the ref awards a free kick.

Not to sound sexist but most womens contact sport bar Auz and NZ international league and union is an appalling standard

Our club womens side plays at the top level, have a few welsh internationals and a few canadien and they are horrific to watch, physicality just isn't there which makes games

Hodges mentioned pre-game that BHunt is still suffering with confidence issues re last years gf. This could explain how his defense is worse this year cause it's really fallen away. He also looks indecisive on attack at times as well.

    Cool story.

I coach under 7's and we are getting kitted out by raging bull who sponsor the national RL team, mentioned I have a picture of Friz with the Wales jersey which the rep sampled yesterday, said he knew Tyson when he has been over with the Wales team and will ask him to sort kit for me when he is over next Beating Heart

Tommy Leuluai has excellent defence and hits hard, though I know he's more of a hooker/half
