On a side note, Avua'a has turned into a great long term cash cow. I took a gamble of starting with him over Hunt which hurt at the start, but I also didn't have to burn a trade.

Ill probably end up keeping Avua'a now

That sounds about right. Well even if he does come back round 17, I will have my Cleary and Teddy with a bit of cash left over but will have probably burnt a 2nd row slot. Still thinking positives outweigh the negatives ?

Not sure if same thinking, but I am probably bringing Talakai in purely as a cash out, but with the hope he scores some points for my Trousers in 15 and 16 but then fucks right off.

Is it stupid to use a trade for someone like Ese to O'Brien or Feeny to Godinet when you have 16 trades?  Not worth it hey?

Happens every year and it seems.people on here fkrget that and would rather make a trade to get an extra 20 points in a bye round for a player who will be an ae for the rest of the season.

Depends who is in your squad.
Lots of depth + single figure trades is far better than 18 players + single figure trades.

I'm trying to get at least one reserve in each position.
Cleary has helped that big time in my halves, he turned up at the perfect time.

You don't want to be forced into a trade by having only enough players for your 13 in each position the way the season has gone.

    Smith (Friend)
    Graham Surgess
    Parker, Whitehead, Tauapau (ET)
    Hunt, Taylor (Cleary)
    Aitken, Holland (Hurrell, Gutherson)
    Semi, Barba, Munster (Mitchell)

and I'm planning on Barba --> Fifita. Gutherson/Aitken to switch between CTR/WFB as needed.

That squad and I should have 10 trades left with some cash and HHunt to downgrade/upgrade.

    Depends on your planning.

Don't trade in someone who is going to play one round and score you 30 points if a) you're not going to use them again and b) its not a cash-out.

My theory. In saying that, Jaydn Su'a and Jahrome Hughes both jagged 50s for those who took the punt on them.
Personally, I'd rather score those 50's at the back end of the season rather than now.

O'Brien and Godinet are also both players who could score you 11 points in a game and never play agian.
You'd be kicking yourself if you wasted a trade on that.

I'm in the same boat, he is painful to watch at times but he has hit the 40 mark a couple of times this year. Was nice of him to flop over the line to get a handy 48 this week.

For me, his crowning achievement had to be in the Dragons game. Being total gent, he helped up a Dragons player from the dead ball line and in the process leaving a MASSIVE hole for the Dragons to run through and score in the corner lol. Nice

Not really worth trading out for me, he can keep on plodding and I will be happy.

All things being equal, Fifita netts you 610 points and JBrom netts you 591 points by Round 26.

If the 80k difference could be used to upgrade to another gun then I reckon JBrom is the go just personally.

    Cheers mate

Same here, just when i was weighing up cashing out for the 80k, he goes up another 24k this week. Now i may as well play him while it suits.

Looking like having 12 this week, is this only about average?

You think I have any control over it? I trade out Merrin and Cartwright after their scores are mediocre then the following rounds they both bust out a 60 average for the next 3 rounds. If anything Mansour will now go on a run of 50+ scores.
