How many rounds would you be giving him a run for? If it is just one I don't think the potential 20-30 points is worth it, even with 16 trades. I'd be more inclined to go a sideways trade or two that might get you 50 points this round and another 50 points in Round 18. Really depends on the make up of your team and plan for the next few weeks.

    Thanks guys. Yeah, I posted my team a couple of days ago and a few comments were to sit. My team again is;

    Smith Parcell
    Surgess Fifi Ese Leulani
ET Lowe Carty Tauk Claw Benry
    SJ MIlf Cleary Feeny
    BJ Aitken Lolo Holland
    Semi Mitchell Munster Guth Barba

Only have 60K. Was thinking of going Claw to JWH, but Claw going okay and JWH misses the next week anyway. Might just sit this week I think. If Talakai was going to get a run for a few weeks it might be worth it if he was going to generate cash, but who knows.

I would potentially go Smith - Friend you have the trades to get smith back in after R18 and get a GUN playing 2 big byes and then CLAW - JBrom if the cash allows

That's an interesting theory and have thought about it, just not sure I could go through with it. It does make things easier for byes though, but hmm...... Thanks for the input much to think about. I'll probably wuss out and sit this week, I've been so conservative this year for some reason.

I haven't seen him play mate as I was off the grid for a week so take my advice with a grain of salt, but your team has plenty of depth. Can't really see how you would use him other than this week. If you're desperate for a few extra points and happy to dump a trade maybe look at someone who might play both this round and round 18. Rory O'Brien from the eels or Jo Manu from the Roosters.

Not sure you need any more cash, you have 21 odd players to choose from. Once you get through the bye period you can dump 2-3 off and use the cash to upgrade some semi guns to guns.

Claw to JWH as you suggested could be a goer, pending on how many you have next week. Too hard to work out on my phone!

Thanks mate, I am liking the look of my team even though my 2RF is lite on. I just worked it out and next week I'd be lucky to pull together 17 with Claw and with Smith backing up, and if Holland gets a run, so might just be better to sit. If I dumped Claw for JWH I'd be 16 before trades so neither here nor there really. Hopefully I can make the points up next round, when some teams might struggle a little more.

I've gone full davai and traded Barba, Mitchell and NGreen out for Munster, JManu and Cleary. It gives me 10 trades, 109K and lets me keep Bowen and Cleary as Cows to trade out in a few more weeks time to get my last few upgrades (Teddy, Friend etc.).

Team this week is (keeping with the "why not" theme for my C and VC)
    Parcell
    JDB (C), Surgess
    Finucane, Tohu, Mau
    Norman (VC), SJ
    Talakai, JManu
    Munster, Aikten, Guth

So only 13 but I think its a fairly strong 13 which should see me climb without compromising my final team too much.

From my remaining 10 trades I know the definites I want is:
    To upgrade Guth to Teddy/Rapa.
    & Parcell to Friend.

Which means I'll probably want to Cash out:
    Bowen
    & Cleary

Which will leave me with 6 trades.
I then have to decide whether I want to Upgrade any other spots such as Whitehead/Mau/Taylor to someone like Mannering, In which case I have Kaufusi and Hughes as less fantastic Cows if cash is needed, but trades will be precious by that stage.

Wondering if this means I should reverse my Green -> JManu trade and instead do Bowen -> JManu. No garauntee Bowen makes any more money if I hold him and could end up bombing in the bye (which wouldn't mean many points missed by not having him). I think this is a better option now that I've talked about it, yeah?

Could go quite big with that if the right guys fire, at least you aren't hoping for points out of Talakai and Manu like myself Razz
So do you view Mitchell as a keeper or is the intent to upgrade him to say Teddy (if so when)?

Question for people who watch the footy show.
Is David Middleton the most boring person on TV?
