Firstly, well played.
Secondly, wouldn't the irony be that extra time is like a marriage not an affair??
Thirdly, I'm surprised both HS and yourself haven't gone down the path of including an equally as poor gag about this bloody word Extra and Bennett's love of chewing gum.
Anyone got a Liz Smiley lisp joke

The more I think about it, the more I find this whole thing utterly offensive.
Over in the fantasy forum we have part 5 of the fantasy thread struggling to get 5 posts a day. And here you lot are happily chucking page after page of content into some rubbish Broncos thread that hasn't even hit part 2 all season.
I have half a mind to ban you all - or at least use my mod powers to move all this talk into the fantasy thread where the extra post count could make a real difference in someones life.

I second this. Honeysett, can you please tell another really crap joke, but over in the Fantasy thread, or at least in the Parmy thread. It won't take any effort at all, you've allready proven that beyond a doubtMilchcow wrote:

I would have joined in on moving it to the fantasy thread, but you didn't say udderly. So no thanks, don't want no part of that.

Lara, if you're reading this I have nothing against you whatsoever!
EDIT: I am also of the opinion that more than a handful is a waste and never thought about the 'awkward' ones, don't think I've experienced that!

I don't know what you are on about. For a guy that has been cheating on his wife of many, many years, Bennett has gotten away with hardly any criticism.
Many other people would have been crucified in the media for this sort of thing. Whereas here, nobody even wanted to publish it until Bennett went public himself.
It's no surprise it hasn't been talked about much by the professional media. Like it or not Wayne Bennett is probably the most powerful and influential person in the game, so if you wanted to make a living out of reporting on Rugby League, you probably don't want offend him, otherwise your pay cheques will probably be a lot smaller. I think social media has been more critical.
Much like Brangelina recently, and like I said, the jokes about Michael Jackson, my comment is not about whether the joking or criticism was justified, just that many people are willing to make comment about it when otherwise they wouldn't. From what I've seen on social media, it's the anti-QLD and Broncos fans who are talking about it. That's not a siege mentality that's just saying what happens. Likewise diehard Michael Jackson and Brittney spears fans aren't making fun of those guys when they were going through problems, and the 14 Roosters supporters seemed pretty quiet when Mitchell Pearce and puppygate occurred. For me that was a better example of irony than No Worries pointed out (which to be honest I didn't really understand - maybe that says something about how simple I am).
I also wasn't having a go at Honeysett, hence why I specifically pointed that out). He might well be the sort of person to joke about that no matter who it was, so this might well be a consistent reaction by him, which I'm not criticising at all.
From my point of view, I can't think of any acceptable reason to cheat (unless it's in a knowingly open relationship). I don't know the whole story, but to me nothing justifies that. If something justifies him leaving his wife, that's one thing - sometimes these things happen, and for all I know it cause be due to something either spouse might have done. The trigger might be because of another woman as well, but in my opinion the correct way to handle that situation is to break up, then pursue a relationship with that other woman.

Look, as a follower of Jim Jefferies work, i think you can joke about anything, but if you're gunna go after low hanging fruit, you sure as hell better make it funny, or you're just being an arsehole, especially when nobody knows the full story and you've filled in the gaps with said material in order to joke about it.

I would say I'm a purveyor of dark humour, as seen by the write ups. I also think that anything can be funny said to the right audience. You wouldn't make rape jokes at a sexual abuse centre but they can be funny to the right group of people. Would just be the right target audience.
I didn't take it as having a go at me though, I also think a lot of people would be rubbishing him as soon as he's going through a divorce which is pretty messed up - but we can only go by what's released in the media so going off what's happened he was cheating on his missus. Therefore he's fair game in the public eye.
I didn't and wouldn't make fun of the Kieran Foran situation though for example as it's such a broad subject that could hurt a lot of people.
Pointing out that it's just the anti QLD/Bronco fans saying it is pretty obvious though - you won't find a great deal of people that would openly mock themselves or their team. (I would but that's another thing)
