Should we organise which rounds keepers will be taken, just so as there's no confusion?

So Mitch222 had a Muzza-esque moment just before Sportal got shutdown.  Link below:

It's kind of hard to follow as the quote/requote is confusing.  The first few pages before the meltdown is posted is worth the read just to see me cop it in the arse repeatedly.

Also, Sportal was on A Current Affair a few months back when Mmmmm_dl or whatever his name was got sacked from Centrelink for posting on Sportal about the shit clients he had to deal with in Off-Topic.  That's when SNA (the new Sportal) decided to completely wipe all those glorious old threads.

i think we'll have to decide as a group which of the 2 proposed sites we use for ADP, but after that's settled, then yes, we probably should.

I think for this season, we should stick with the one we've publicized... people have possibly made plans/deals/selected keepers based on the info from the original one. We can assess - during the next season - if a change needs to be made.

    Whoa... that is hilarious.

Sportal started to go downhill almost immediately after the style change. Muzza seemed almost bipolar.

yeh, i see your point, if i recall correctly, Nelson and Benjamin were held pretty much all season for the teams that have them anyway, so there selection hasn't been completely without cost.

i don't remeber when it has been years past, butif we're planning on drafting around the last weekend of pre-season, as usual, then maybe the cut off for locking-in keepers should be week 2? is 2 weeks enough to plan a draft strategy around keepers?

for what it's worth at the moment (from the original site) i'll have David Johnson 11th round, Allen Robinson 6th round and Julio Jones 1st round, tossing up on the last pick between Tyler Eifert 9th round, Duke Johnson 10th round and Josh Gordon last round. hoping there's some more concrete news about Eifert's ankle soon

If we are drafting in the last week of preseason, I cant do the sunday (AEST) and malice cant do daytimes....

    Ill likely be taking;

Antonio Brown (6 ADP, Round 1)
Cam Newton (120 ADP, Round 10)
Allen Hurns (nil ADP, Round 15)

Not sold on the 4th yet. Probably either Denver D in the 13th or Shady in the 2nd.

Daytime's fine for me... if it's not on a weekend (currently on holidays)! If that's a problem Ryno - how about we move it a week earlier?

In all likelihood, I'll be keeping:
    Lamar Miller - 2nd
    Todd Gurley - 5th (drool)
    Gary Barnidge - last

At the moment, thinking Jay Ajayi for my 4th, which would be the 2nd-to-last round.

    Holidays? Half your luck.

Literally any other day of any other weekend is perfect for me.

I've discovered that if you go into owners roster pages you can see who they have currently selected as their keepers.

I swear Gostkowski's just a filler for now. Embarassed

I'll probably go with Dez Bryant, Devonta Freeman and Jordy Nelson as my first three keepers, but I haven't settled on the fourth. I'm thinking closely about Brandin Cooks, but it would feel a little unbalanced if I did that so we'll see. I've also got couple of last-round smokies in mind.

As I said in the email I just sent, I've pencilled in August 22 (a Saturday) for the draft but I'm by no means wedded to the date. A Tuesday or Wednesday night would actually work best for me. Or something at like 8 or 9pm Australian time.

Appreciate the welcome! Nice to be back (of sorts, haha), it was a shame the Sportal admins stopped giving a sh*t about the place.

    Saturday... if it's an evening.

Honestly, I'd prefer a weekday evening.

Another thing that could be considered... an offline draft?

If pre-season trades were a allowed - I'd seriously consider a Ricky Williams draft night trade for Gurley! Think he'll be the #1 rb this year!

We need to get moving on this.
Options? I'd say we need to give at least week's warning...
