Considering using my last 2 trades to upgrade JTrbo to JDB and remove an AE problem (Kaufusi). Leaves me with Gutherson and ET as my injury cover. Still have Bowen as a potential bad AE until Feldt's back next week too.
Too risky?

When your two players as injury cover are currently 40+ scorers I say why not?

The only good thing about my current shit ranking is that I can have a crack at silly stuff like that. I'll grab him and hope that the NFL style training makes him into even more of a TB machine.White Lightning wrote:re Hayne & if he plays this week & for the rest of the season.

Edit: How much strength would he have lost recently with the 7's style training?

I really think its a bad precedent to allow clubs to sign players at this point in the season.
Does this mean that any club can try and strengthen themselves for finals by signing rugby players in August for short stints?
The NRL really do just seem to make things up as they go along

From the Scout Report on NRL.com
Titans: Nathan Peats returns at hooker with Ryan Simpkins named 18th man, while there are rumours a new recruit – some ex-NFL player called Jarryd Hayne – could sign on with the club and line up for them as soon as this weekend. If that's confirmed he'll become available in Fantasy in the next day or so.
If he's playing the rest of the season, yeah I'll get him for sure. I have 6 trades but was using two to get DeBelin this week. Probably still will, but will happily use two more next week to get him in.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 47
Seriously considering trading in Buhrer over Gallen this week. Gallen's points were helped with extra minutes during the game this week (through injury) plus a few extra minutes in golden point. Whenever Sharks lead by a margin, Gallen is the first to get a rest. Just thinking Manly might be hungrier for a win and Buhrer is 80 minutes week in week out.
First week of my main H2H finals and my opponent has neither Gallen or Buhrer - any opinions?
I've got 6 trades left.
Guess I'm a bit gun shy on 'proven' guns this season, having already been burnt by Fensom, Parker, and DCE (twice)
Any opinion to help sway the decision one way or another would be appreciated.

I think Buhrer is a great choice. Seems to be over his injury problems, Manly hitting form & Buhrer benefitting.

I don't mind it if they have the money. It's where the money is coming from that matters but that's a different issue.Milchcow wrote:

Based on Broncos math, there is only 4 games to go which equates to 1 month of a 2.4M 2 year contract, but it's back ended so that's $70K of which 40% would be TPA, so for $40K he could play the rest of the season. Surely they would have $40K left in their cap after Nate Myles leaving and bringing in nobody or worth.

Buhrer is on my never again list. Once bitten twice shy he scores well but is made of glass. He is like the black widow's protege

Hayne nice and affordable at 380k. Still Milford's dropped too much cash for me to make a straight swap using Barba's DPP. Would be a novel thing to have him in the team though

Depending on Hayne's price, I might bring him in.
Who to ditch though? Barba? If Hayne is available as a centre then I might bring him in for Gutherson.
Chances of him being available as a half so I can ditch Ben Hunt?

Is JDB increased minutes due to someone being injured? Or were they getting his match fitness back up
