There will be those who VC'd SJ feeling hard done by. Maybe some Cleary VC's as well. Then there will be some who VC'd Graham on the other hand.

    Potentially injuries?

If they drop this game but win the rest and beat Sharks, they have the Minor sewn up anyway right? In that case it doesn't mean all that much to them. Might just be Belly seeing a good opportunity to give his guns a rest and hide his tactics from his old mate Sticky?

However, if you have someone like Aitken in your centres, he could be switched to fullback.
Manu Ma'u played his 4th game at centre this round and should get DPP status this week.
Worth considering. I'll probably still go for Dugan though.

Leaning towards getting Dugan because of his DPP

I've got Semi coming back from injury as well.

Well it would advantage people who didn't put the c or vc on him, and have someone like Whitehead in their NPRs. Might be a couple like that around

Also not a terrible situation for anyone without a crappy AE. I'd be looking at 22 from Asiata.

Maybe Smith will play reduced minutes... I don't see them resting him completely

Fair call if he wants to ambush in the finals, but 3 of the 4 left will be potentially Finals opposition. He's a great coach for a reason but just can't really fathom why you would do it this week.

Fair enough although yes those Graham VC'ers wouldn't mind it too much. I captained Fifi this week. I thought he'd do to the Dragons what Tariq Sims ended up doing to the Sharks. 57's still a decent enough C score though

I've got it on Manners so 50 is not ideal, but could have been worse. My AE however is Fualolo's 6 Shocked

I think Chewie could be right, a rest for Cam at the back end and Slade Griffin can cover numerous positions anyway and they haven't been carrying a genuine utility.

In saying that, between Tohu and Kenneath, you could still run the 4 forward bench and allow Cronk/Smith to rest.

I would get mitchells 35 if smith didn't play. Would be a pretty good outcome all things considered.

Hmmm it doesnt seem right that i cant trade my captain. If Smith doesnt play at all i will lose my h2h final so i would need to trade him out for hodgson. But he is my captain so i cant. Is that a bug or is it designed that way on purpose?

I'm in the same boat. Because he's captain, we can't do anything as my reserve hooker has already played and is locked out.

So there is no trade button for smith on the field screen but if i go into advanced trades it lets me select him, but im guessing if i finalise the trade it will block me from doing it

The odds have shortened drastically in favour of the Raiders apparently.... Ah well, shitty AE but VC on JDB. Could be worse I guess. Might make my eliminator even more interesting though :S

Here's how the Raiders will line-up for tonight's blockbuster against the Melbourne Storm at GIO Stadium.
Kurt Baptiste returns to the team for his first game since suffering a foot injury in the Raiders Round 18 win over the Cowboys. Baptiste will start on the bench, replacing Adam Clydsdale in the team.

    1. Jack Wighton
    2. Brenko Lee
    3. Jarrod Croker (c)
    4. Joey Leilua
    5. Jordan Rapana
    6. Blake Austin
    7. Aidan Sezer
    8. Junior Paulo
    9. Josh Hodgson
    10. Shannon Boyd
    11. Josh Papalii
    12. Elliott Whitehead
    13. Sia Soliola

    19. Kurt Baptiste
    15. Luke Bateman
    16. Clay Priest
    17. Joe Tapine

    Still waiting on Melbourne..........................

Correct, you won't be able to trade out your Captain (or move him as part of a DPP trade)

All you can do with captain Smith is sub him to your NPRs if your 2nd hooker hasn't played yet. Although even then its not super useful as there are probably very few people with Smith captain, Hodgson as reserve, and an NPR also from the Raiders v Storm game available to become 4th reserve.

Its a crappy system but it's what we have. But (assuming Smith does pull out) it's why they give us a vc, and why its important to choose one that we think will score well
