We just had our first full 12 hour pick. It was quicksand who has back to back picks. Lets hope he doesn't take another 12 hours...

He has another 12 hours for his second pick now. Please check the draft throughout the day.

Re: Ultimate Footy
The biggest problem with slow drafts is that they become self perpetuating.
Even the guys who want to move things along will get bored of checking in all the time to find nothing has happened, and they start popping in less frequently, and things slow down even more.
That said, if you give people 12 hours to maybe a pick, you have to accept it when they take 12 hours to make a pick.

Might cut it to 8 or even 6 hours next year.

he must of had a ranking president set then because Mcinnes was well down the list, I'm guessing he set up an auto pick incorrectlyBren wrote:

Exactly, looks like he set up his auto pick correctly. He would have had McInnes high up in his rankings (proof of that is how early he went in L2 draft).

You do realize you can line up auto picks. So you can arrange 50 plus picks if you wanted.

You also specify the valid draft hours. For L2 it runs 23 hours a day, I think 11pm to midnight the timer doesn't run (which is ironic as that's when heaps of our picks get made)

Exactly. A draft operating time of say between 6am and 10pm at night and an 8 hour draft window would work IMO.

Kinda defeats the purpose of a live draft, drafting of a prepicked list without live input.

Do it in a night, I run an AFL one and get everyone to agree on a night and have it done in an hour. 30 second picks.

The "sportal" NFL one runs like that. 60 seconds/pick. Takes about 90min.

It was an example of being able to use the draft auto select if you cannot check online every 6-8 hours, not saying you have to use it rather just check the draft every now and then throughout the day. Obviously if the time limit was only 6 hours it would not operate during the night so you could get your beauty sleep.
