NRL Finals Week 3
Hoping the Sharks and Raiders get through personally; will be absolutely devastating to bow out this close after years in the wilderness. Would make for a wonderful contrast in styles for a GF as well.

Fuck that... I don't want the Sharks to get anywhere near a trophy for the next 50 years! Two of my best mates are Shire born Sharkies fans and I'll never hear the end of it!

Re: NRL Finals Week 3
Wouldn't the whole NRL "history happens" tag line come full circle with a Raiders V Sharks GF. A quiet word to the refs could provide the inaugural Sharks premiership. But we did that last year with the Cowboys. I think the path of least resistance is going with the accepted belief that the week off is beneficial. So the cowboys lose to the "history is made" Sharks who Vs the Storm in the GF. In a twist of irony the drug cheats lose to the salary cap cheats because it's the lesser of 2 evils and everyone does in anyway.

Think the opposite might happen, not that I really care.iSIs wrote:Hoping the Sharks and Raiders get through personally;
Actually wouldn't mind the mooboys going back to back.

Re: NRL Finals Week 3
I want the Raiders to win because I want their style of attacking Rugby League to be rewarded.
Storm V Cowboys will happen and Storm will win the big one. The only reason I will want the Storm to win is because their last win was in 2012 the same year the Swans won the premiership, so hoping for a repeat there.

Also fuck that! I don't want the Swans anywhere near the Cats trophy. I'm not an AFL fan by any means but I live in Geelong now and it does good things for the economy... Not too mention dragging chicks into pubs looking for guys. LOL

Doesn't the player have to have possession for it to be a penalty try? I don't actually know, just wondering.

Not so far as I'm aware. I mean if they don't have possession people may argue its not a 100% thing he does gain possession to score, but I'm sure I've seen someone tackled without the ball be awarded a penalty try before. I can't see the game, but just answering the questioniSIs wrote:Doesn't the player have to have possession for it to be a penalty try? I don't actually know, just wondering.

I think I'm confusing the penalty try v 8 point try either way.Archer wrote:Not so far as I'm aware. Of course it's not a penalty try or a penalty. Townsend didn't have the ball.

Re: NRL Finals Week 3
yep it was forward, looking forward to Thurston sooking after the game if they lose
can't say there is a conspiracy this year as they are the reigning premiers
What I am not looking forward to is the non stop sharkies propaganda that will start if they win, like souths a few years ago when they made the GF, you would of thought they were the only team playing that weekend.
I am from Sydney, but cheering on Raiders, can't stand the other 3.

Pass was made to look much worse than it was with Maloney getting tackled as he threw it.
Might have been a touch forward but not as bad as is being made out

Re: NRL Finals Week 3
Fucking hell, if they were gunna play this bad, they could've had the decency to throw the game last week, at least we'd have had last years heartbreak + Parker's retirement to get up for the game and make it a contest.
