I actually think the Cows are going to be off their game, not sure why, but Broncs by 8.

Also thinking the Raiders have a shocker and Panthers by 14.

I think the Clydesdales have secured a TPA with Coke a Cola for Bennett & Roberts to do an advert to the soundtrack of Elton John's "Benny & the Jets". They've only got it on a 1 week run dependant on Robert's return and an upset against the cowboys.

No Lowe and Winterstein - to big outs for the cows. I know losing a winger isnt that big a deal but having a rookie come in hurts

ponga is supposed to be some sought of prodigy isn't he ?

its a big occasion and it could get the best of him but if the cows start well and he gets to have a few touches in good positions, he'll be alright

wouldn't want to drop his first bomb tho....

    cows by 2

    Canberra by 10

i think people are overrating penny's run at the end against us, we've been poor for 2 months and they abused our right D at the end which was due to injuries lining up tolman-eastwood-Jackson-Rona as the edge/pivot/centre/wing, of course they blew us apart there, it won't be that easy against canberra, with or without hodgson

For me Penrith have had the ability the last few seasons but have had some deadset shocking injury runs.  I just feel like if ever things are going to go their way it will be over the next few weeks.

    Yep I'm with you mate.

Raiders have been solid all year and whilst the Penny Panfers have been good of late and are the flavour of the month....tend to think Canberra will get the job done (just).

    Raiders 26 - Panfers 22

As for tonight's game, I can't tell if it is my complete and utter bias....but I'm really confident the Broncos will get up.

We looked scratchy in the wet last week but our win against Melbourne a couple of weeks before that, was back to our early season form.
Bennett just seems to have them hitting form at the right time of year.

being in townsville + JT's goal kicking swayed me but nothing would surprise me tonight, i think we know how the cows will play (rookie winger aside).

Broncs play like they did the last 2 weeks, they're no chance but i'm sure we'll see the mob who played a great game Vs storm the week before that

I'm excusing last week in the wet, plus I think against the Roosters we probably had a lighter week leading up to the finals (knowing that the Cows would probably keep us in 5th) and after the big game against Melb.

I think it will likely be close (refer Sportsbet's $23 offer for a 1pt win either way - get on it!)....but I think we'll have them.

Cowboys by plenty. JT has them cooking nicely, I think they'll tear the Broncos apart.

Close game early and a blow out in the second half.

No way the Broncs do it comfortably (and I'm a diehard since the day I knew what the game was) unless a few guys stand up that have been missing the last few weeks. He is a god in my books but Parker has been a shell of late, the best we have seen out of him was in the last 5 mins against the dogs after Kickiano. That coupled with the terrible 5th options our halves have been taking of late leaves me more than nervous.

Panthers and Raiders will be a bit different. I think the Raiders would have had the Sharks last week if it wasn't for losing Hodgson and with his return, so long as he's fit, I think they'll handle the Choccie Soldiers.

Cows by 4 and Raiders by 12+

My heart says Broncos but my head says Cowboys. Another win tonight for Parker would be nice.

A few points on the Broncos. Our game plans seem to be working, but we aren't executing them soon enough. Have had to take it to the sheds and come out focused in the second half.

Both the Roosters and the Titans out-enthused us early on. If we give the Cows the same early ball, we won't make it back. On the flipside: if we bring our A game early (AKA the Melbourne game), we'll do well.

Injuries/suspensions - is it Ethan Lowe and Kyle Feldt vs James Roberts? Ethan Lowe probably the biggest loss there.

It's not wet, which suits both sides.

However, it's the Cowboys home turf, and Taumolololo couldn't have as shit a game as he did last week again, Morgan has been building a nice head of steam, and, well, Broncos didn't play like a team that believed for about 3 months there. Cows favourites, but you'd be brave to put the house on them.

    I wouldn't call them $1.51 favourites though??

I'd agree with your comments regarding our slow starts of late and that is indeed worrying Dash. But that's what I mean regarding some of our more senior players like Parker, Moose and Blair etc. Coupled with the fact that Boyd went well and truly missing for almost the whole first half of last week. We need those guys to step up and finally show what they're about.

It's Lowe and Winterstein, not Feldt, vs Roberts. I don't think Winto rates as much but Lowe out is a big blow for the Cows.

Certainly wouldn't have em at $1.51 faves no but would defs have em in front of us lads.

Fuck, starting to look like a messy scrappy game already. Chance to get out to an early lead there and then we spill the bikkies
