All things being equal, we probably would have won that game with James Roberts on the field, not a 3/4 fit Opacic, and Alex Glenn, who, whilst doing a phenomenal job for a second rower playing in the centres, didn't match up Sad

No complaints from me about the refs. I may have shouted at them through the screen a few times during the game, but that's as much to do with the never-ending suspense of these games. I'm honestly not sure I can keep watching Broncos vs Cowboys: it's likely shortening my life span.

Also proud of the fans I've see today, here and in person: they might be discussing a few touchy points and decisions, but no one's having a whinge about it, or rising to the bait. A lot of head shaking and disbelief, sure!

Another thing I've noticed is the Cowboys fans (I'm in Cairns, there's a truckload of them) aren't rubbing our noses in it like the last couple of games. I honestly think there's a level of respect now between the two teams that's approaching some of the best rivalries in the game, and without the acrimony involved in some of the old school hatreds.

It's.... weird, for want of a better word!

Personally I would love a Sharks v Raiders GF - but thats prob the longest odds.
Most likely it will be Cows v Melb which will prob be the best game too.

The Cows are prob the only team that can beat melbourne out of the 3 left IMO

(I am aware that the raiders did it a few weeks ago but still, totally different comp now)

Hoping for the Sharks to win is like hoping Lance Armstrong comes back and wins one more TDF in my opinion.

So, the second choice bandwagon has arrived, fellow Broncos get your tickets!

    1. Cowboys
    2. Melbourne
    3. Canberra
    4. Daylight.

Fuck it pisses me off when you hear smith or slater etc say - They cant take the memories off us etc, we still had to do the work to win the comp
Such a kick in the teeth to supporters of any other club

It still amazes me that they got to keep Slater/Smith/Cronk
Raffa always said this - its like stealing a ferrari, getting caught but being allowed to keep it
Doesnt really make that much sense when you think about it but its kinda funny.

FUCK I wish he was still around for all this Parra fallout, he really tucked his head in and fucked off at a good time for him lol

I wouldn't mind seeing them win. Not because of the team but because there fans deserve some joy.

I think that every so often, but then i get the mental image of Gallen lifting the premiership, projectile vomit, then think "you know, they've waited this long, what's a few more years gunna matter?"

not to mention i couldn't think of a better way for Ennis' career to end then slumped on the turf crying having never lifted an origin shield or a provan-summons trophy in his career.

I'm on the Cowboys bandwagon obviously but fuck me it is getting harder and harder to jump on board now that they've knocked us over in the GF and on Friday night.

Next I'll go Canberra because I've always liked the way Ricky coaches (hated him as a player though) and his team has been amazing to watch this year.

I also think that would be the best GF but I tend to think both of those teams are the least likely to win this week.

Melb vs Sharks shapes up to be an ugly and uninspiring affair.

But for real can someone explain why I dislike the Sharks so much? Is it just the QLD upbringing? The triggering colour of blue? Paul Gallen? .... Wait, I answered it, it is definitely the last one.
