Draft Game 2016 V2

In fairness and because I'm a team player which is what we're apparently all about here, Welshy probs should be given the chance to rescind his selcetion and go again if Foran is indeed deemed to be ineligible. It is 330am over there and I had put him under unnecessary pressure which we all know he doesn't cope well with.

I am fine with him selecting K. Foran, though it is outside of the rules.

Will re pick if nessecsary but he started the year with the eels and a mental breakdown stopped him playing! Makes as much sense picking Foran as it would picking Parker/Gallen who played the year but are now retired IMO....not like he signed elsewhere mid season ala Seggy....

Nah, I'm ok with it. The bossman is ok with it so that's all that really matters.

I dont want to kick up a stink however I did ask about player eligibility for this game and was under the assumption that someone like Foran was ineligible to be selected as he is not at a club as of round 26. Blokes like Parker are okay to be selected as they were still at a club at that time where as Segeyaro etc were OS. I selected Milford as my 5/8th as I truly believed Foran was out of the game (otherwise I would have gone for the NZ halves combo of Foran and Johnson) as he was not at a club at this point in time and we are not doing 2017 team lists.

Like I said Im not trying to start anything but just wanted to post my opinion on the matter..

This is what I was referring to in my above post. My interpretation of this was that Foran was a no go as of right now he is not at any club.

Im not sure why you appear to be angry as I clearly stated I am not angry or trying to start anything. Rather I have posted my opinion on the matter (notice I never said that Foran should be taken off you?). Please dont get upset over previous draft game actions / comments as I thought we had all let that go and stay in the past where it belongs.

I believe my post was in no way inflammatory or aggressive, rather a calm and collected simple statement on the matter.

I personally take Bren's point on this.  Random did specify teams as they are now.  In saying that, it was kind of just discussed and shuffled in there and the front page was not updated in the rules.  So I personally blame:

Foran played for the Eels this year and still plays in the NRL. I'm cool with it.

The only reason we have draft games is to see a Welshy v Bren stoush.  We literally all had a meeting about how to liven up the off season on here late last week.  There was a conference call hook up between around 25 Fanatics and we decided that we would start another Draft game for said entertainment.

Okay.  So going on this, if we want to be objective-has Foran officially left the Eels and if so, has he officially signed with the Warriors.  I actually don't know and too busy to google.  If Foran is signed to either club currently then I vote Foran is a legit pick as Moran's Random's words were "teams as they are right now".

He's playing, he played and he will continue to play. Let's not argue semantics. Especially when it's a horrible pick, a huge gamble.
