Can't agree. I think Ben Hunt is a better footballer in almost every way and the Broncos form since FAC went down, apart from tonight's when that got hit by a Semi, has indicated they are in this Premiership up to their eyeballs, as you would expect with a team that had 7 guys that played Origin this year and 2 kiwi veterans. even if they stumbled tonight against a team missing their best performed player, their first choice hooker and FB, and with barely a representative player amongst them. Nights like that happen, but if you're a Brisbane fan, you just toss that game aside and move on knowing you have Bennett at the helm and a stable full of stars.

Yeah, above average. If he is only measured as above average (and I know you use that term as a comparison to the "guns" you name, then so are all the guys you named. As a 39 game test player for one of the two best teams in the world, Blair should be regarded as in the top tier of forwards in the game (together with all origin forwards)"

This slightly above average prop also attempts to offload it on the first tackle of the game, losing the ball which then leads to the opposition scoring the fastest try in NRL history.

Adam Blair should be regarded as one of the top tier forwards in the game. Fucking solid LOL there Dippy.

Remember that time the guy who's got a very strong case for being the greatest fullback in history threw a dumb pass direct to the opposition for a try in a World Cup final? Yeah one play didn't define him either, and only a fucking idiot would say otherwise.

In any event, a horrible performance where the scoreline flattered us. At the game it felt like we were being touched up by 50. Really pretty similar (but in reverse) to when we played the Roosters in the prelim final in 2015, when the Roosters never recovered from the SKD pass to Boyd the first time they touched the ball. Best off throwing the tape of that game in the bin and making sure we win next week against a cooked Cowboys to make sure we secure 2nd or 3rd. I think we match up pretty well against both the Roosters and Sharks. So still feel pretty confident that we'll win the week 1 final, whether home or away, then win the prelim final at home. Storm v Broncos grand final still looks the most likely outcome to me. We can't beat Melbourne in Melbourne though.

They exposed the blueprint 4 weeks ago. Tonight they just refined it. Your lucky you've played plodders in Titans & Dragons since then who couldn't execute it. The Sharks tried it and got close. Doubt you go out in straight sets but you lost your chance at a grand final appearance tonight

The loss we had to have. In Wayne we trust.

Get rid of Mead. Putrid. Id much rather have Opacic or cram Marshall into the backline somewhere then that useless prick.

Not using it as an excuse by any means - but the reffing was terrible last night aswell. Doesnt change the outcome, but lucky it wasnt a close/important game with those peanuts in the middle. Maybe its the poor performance the whistle blowers had to have aswell?

Are you thinking of another team? We thrashed the Sharks from memory.

It wasn't just the forwards who rolled through us. Every time the Eels went to their right, our left side defence looked a player short. It was a bit hard to see through my tears, but it might be because with Niko inside of Roberts, they back their speed to slide, so it gives that impression. That was the sort of game where it looked like they just didn't turn up and we lost due to attitude as much as any game plan.

I'd also like to blame the ref, but the scoreline flattered us and I think for every bad call we got, we had a good call go our way (or two), so I'll keep my mouth shut on that one.

    its not one thing.

He has not been a good player since he left Melbourne. I couldn't care less how many games he has played for the kiwi's. I mean fuck, Simon mannering has player 47 tests according to their wiki, and he's never been in the top few back rowers in the game. Thomas fucking leuluai has played 38 tests for the kiwis. Far out, he must be better than cooper Cronk. Fuck, Willie mason played 24 tests roughly just over half as many as Blair and at his peak he was 10x the prop Blair is.

Blair is a slightly above average prop, his career is most certainly not defined by last night. It's defined by about 8 years of being slightly above average. And its a fucking terrible signing for Newcastle if true.

Last night could be the loss the broncos needed. If it wasn't so close to finals, i would be dropping Oates, Blair and a few others to QCup for a week.

Yeah it was. That milking pass from Milford resulting in a penalty to the Broncos was a fucking joke

Mead would have to be just about the player who has regressed the most in the comp in the last couple of seasons. Pearson looks great at times but has poor reads in defence and either has a boot problem or a balance problem because always slips over trying to change directions in defence (often when caught out after a bad read). Obviously Kahu improves the wing position a lot, but year you're right about getting someone into that position when we're down a player. Anyone know how Opacic has been going in QCup since he came back from injury. Might not be as fast as most wingers, but gee, Radradra beat us with strength last night, not speed. Some of the attempts on him were embarrassing.

He wrecked Norths at Bashup park a few weeks back. Him and Strasser both played very well.

Clearly that was milking, but the idiot Edwards was not making any attempt to roll away so that has been called every time this year. If the defender rolls away it's never called. Some very bad calls both ways. Moses put the winger away down the sideline in the second half and was called back for being forward when it wasn't. The worst bits (apart from the Smith forward pass) was the holding down in the ruck by Parra, both teams constantly being 2-3 metres offside, and about 4 missed high shots.

There were definitely bad calls both ways.

But in that situation in particular Kenny was behind the ruck well out of the way. Milford threw it behind the ruck to nobody. There was no reason for Milford to throw the ball in Kennys direction except for milking a penalty

We won the penalty count by the length of the straight despite having very little ball all night. The refs had nothing to do with it. We were smashed in every aspect of the game.

This is a really bad attempt at trolling.

The Sharks win was probably the most dominant win by any team all season, we bashed them into submission all night.

We beat the Sharks by more then the Eels beat us tonight so I am not sure how that is considered close.

One of games can be treated as just that, one off.

Trends is what you take notice of, if the same thing happens next week I will write us off, but if as expected we return to winning ways I am still confident of making the big dance.

One of my pet hates. The problem is the players know they will be rewarded with a penalty if they do it and the refs continue to blow the whistle.

You've lost 40% of your games in the run home. The wheels are falling off. The rats are leaving the sinking ship, there's a mass exodus of players for a reason. It's all over.
