    .

I have to work out what is more important.

    A) Milk a cow and upgrade Bailey to Macca.

    B) D Walker > Crichton & Gutho > C Walker

    C) D Walker > Aubo & Gutho > C Walker

    D) D Walker > Crichton & Kelly > C Walker

Think prob D at this stage. Means I can keep Gutho but play Ponga this week instead of him. Con is Gutho drops more cash than Kelly will and future is up in the air. He could be on the wing in round 12. If Frawley is named in the 13 going to make the decision even harder.

leaning towards moga and montoya at this stage

If it was me I would go the opposite to you on both options but really could easily go either way.

Yup probably - will base that call on BEs but aiming to trade a NPR (Yates, CHN) to Surgess.

Not sure on the Guth trade but I do like the inclusion of Crichton and Ponga (assuming Frawley isn't a late starter).

Can you raise the funds elsewhere?

Will punting Whare or Elgey give you enough $$ for your Burgess upgrade?

    Thanks for the thoughts.

Whare to Ponga would mean I could do a straight swap of Siro to Surgess but not Yates. I guess next week I could get surgess via a downgrade elsewhere but I dont like the thought of how restrictive that could be.

There's also a slightly longer term plan of getting SJ or Cleary and also upgrading a couple of the mid range forwards once their prices peak. So keeping a bit of cash ITB generated from selling Guth should make that possible.

It all could come back to bite me but you gotta take some risks. Will listen out for what everyone else has to say and make a call later.

Think Gutho will do well with an extended FB role but if Moses shifts mid season he will get punted to wing when French returns so becomes a definate sell then

Problem with Gutho is losing all the cash he has made because even though I think he will go well in the 1, he wont match his half scores

You'd have to think that's the safe way to go.

This week I've gone J.Wallace and Kelly out for  Crichton and Whitehead.

How do you all recommend a way to stop trading??

To try and the new impro voting system

    Upvote
Yates - Surgess (FKaufusi drops out of 17)

    Downvote
Kelly - Cody Walker (Moga drops out of 17)

Whoever I get, the other will likely have to wait at least 2 weeks, as I'll be using my cash reserves up on this trade.

I havent run the numbers mate but it's probable surgess' price goes north after this week right? If so, then perhaps 1. But points wise 2 looks a whole lot better (the upgrade but most importantly that Moga drops out of your 17 as opposed to Kaufusi). As a result I'd go 2 but with a pretty secure plan to get Surgess even if he is 50k more in a couple weeks.

Without other considerations, Surgess is a better buy than Walker. They are about the same price, but Surgess should offer better scoring from now to the edge of the year.
Walker more likely to be available cheaper than current price than Surgess is.

But Walker provides a better upgrade on my current 17 than Surgess provides, and is thus tempting

Yup that what what I poorly tried to articulate from my phone earlier. I just don't think its the best idea to have Kaufusi as a NPR given how well he is scoring. Just make sure you'll be able to afford Surgess in the next couple weeks I reckon (if you go 2).

That's why I gave you the downvote - Walker is a bigger upgrade on Moga than Surgess on Kaufusi in your top 17. Right now I think your priority should be keeping in touch with (or better still gaining on) the leaders from where you are at #15.

Wallace seems to be going ok. Not the best last round but still ranked as 10th best prop. Do you think last week was a sign of things to come?

Who will bring in Frawley if named on the bench which is most likely? Will be his first price rise.

    Not me.

Crichton at CTR too good for me to resist. And would rather bring in Walker/Surgess as mentioned above than get another cash cow in.

Suspect he'll take his time getting the starting spot, and price rises will die off quickly.

Watching NRL 360 the other night I think its just about confirmed hes coming off the bench. Graham was blowing up about fantasy folk like us saying certain players should play a particular position when we dont really know the player personally. I think it was aimed at all those wanting Frawley at the expense of one of the others. I see his point but the dogs do look a different team when Frawley plays

Yeah if he started would be all over him but too risky otherwise and more important trades.

I see you have gone off Crichton in Fantasy but I guess you feel more confident in DT given you can bring him into the centres. Chrichton was on my radar to bring into the centres before last week then once he blitzed it, I knew I was going to have to hold off on Macca another week.
