I am not going close to Slater until he has played at least 1 game.

What if he doesn't play round 2 either. Then plays round 3 and breaks down again.  Risk not worth the reward.

If Idris cements a CTR spot who will be on his outside? IIRC a few years ago Mansour was on his outside and his scores fluctuated a fair bit because Idris was such a ball hog.

I think I read somewhere that Slater has only played 8 games in the last two years. They are also very impressed with Croft so they are not under pressure to play Slater.

Idris has reportedly been training at right centre with David Nofoaluma outside him

(right centre is where Naiqama played last year)

I wouldn't mind if the Broncos signed Croft as Hunts replacement. Just checked... He is signed with the Storm until 2019. Bugger.

Well on the upside? I have both Idris and Nofo in my Ultimate team...

I dont think you could be too critical of mitchell moses in a thrown together side. He was in everything when on the field and didnt stop trying.

Correct Austin plays on the right while Sezer plays on the left. He was pretty good at putting in little grubbers for Croker to pounce on while Whitehead had to rely on Hodgson for tries because Austin wasn't giving him the ball

Just read this, yeah Austin is right side, but thats with BJ Whitehead and Rapa, left side is Sezer, Papa Croker and EdLee (for now). Although towards the end of the season the halves definitely moved about a bit more

Generally the discussion is about players people havn't considered. Keepers are kind of assumed that people have thought about them and dismissed them. The question really is whether or not to start with a keeper in those positions, which at CTR i can definitely see an argument for. I'm very heavily considering starting with Croker (although the injury sours things) or another gun CTR to cut down on trades.

Seeing the talk about how disastrous Uate could be made me think back to what my WFB looked like at the start of last year. I couldn't remember but I eventually figured it out looking back at team-lists.

Gordon, Barba, J Roberts, Mitchell, Lord Feeney

Mitchell was going to be winger at the time and I had Gutho in the CTR's but otherwise I steered clear of wingers after the E Lee/Nabuli debacle of 2015. Uate seems like prime trap material to me. Would rather hold Ponga and wait then waste a trade on a dud

I keep coming back to teams that have too many mid ranges. Who would you drop, and to who, to free up cash?

    Welcome back fella!

I too am heading OS (multiple times, including the first 4 weeks of season proper) this year and yet I still plan on giving all other comers a hiding, you'll be right! Lol.

All's well on the home front here, you still in London or wherever it is you were or moved on again?

Does anybody know if any other trials will be streamed like the Broncos one? Is anyone going to watch any trial games? Any updates / player performance reviews or comments would be greatly appreciated!

Storm and Roosters are streaming trials this weekend. I'll try to watch both if they don't clash
