Holy shit, this is my current team. Some slightly different reserves, but 17/17 playing players identical.
Mine team is far superior. 7 of the 17 are different and 5 of the NPRs

Actually 4k short lol
I like Harris and should be a 55 point player but gets moved around too much, hopefully that stops with Scott,Blair, Chambers in or covering ctrs and Croft/Munster/Cronk playing or covering halves.Loomer wrote:Another thing on McGuire vs Tofu. Would you just downgrade to Kromwich/Faufusi whoever gets named and use the money elsewhere?

If a player is listed at FRF and is named in the 2nd Row for R1 will they update them to DPP before Round 1 starts?

Is it a bad idea to not have a recognised gun there?

I chase guns because I try and bank points as early as possible but the obv alternative is value. If you can get them all to that region price wise then your end of season squad is likely better than mine due to higher team value. It's sound reasoning and altogether the stronger long game play for depth of quality. It's just a question of how many points you give up doing it.
If McGuire averages 55 and Fifita averages 60 and they are both putting in the odd 80-90 score pre origin you are really up against it.
When origin hits I will have easy downgrade opportunities with Fifita to any of those 3 you've named. Will you have as easy a time upgrading? Maybe...
I think overall points are most important but value runs a decently close second. With value you have to get it right. With guns they usually pick themselves. The silver bullet is balance. Not just guns with rookies but guns with <300k region guys that make the value the likes of Saifiti or JWH will, and beyond.
People like Sironen basically

Cheers Greenmachine.
After reading the last 10 or so pages I'm really considering Brailey, due to a lack of money makers in the front row/2nd row. But really want to keep McInnes, just a good vibe. Might need to make a McInnes/Brailey team.

Funny you should say, I've just today switched from Cam Smith /Farah team to Brailey.
I mentioned silver bullet but there's gold too and it's also-guns or value guns that are cheaper but match all the big boys for points
Players like McInnes and TTurbo. If they match Cmith and Tedesco for points then big advantage to owners of them. I'm going Turbo over Ted, but can't bring myself mcinnes over smith until origin. His price at that point may make that a horrible decision. Wouldn't be surprised if I'm back to building a Smith/McInnes team come Tuesday!

TTurbo actually averages quite a lot more at centre than at fullback. Any reasoning to suggest he's undervalued?
