Btw where is Shaun Lane? Did he trial for manly?
I'd much rather a mix of him with a bunty afoa, than some mox that includes sironen
I'm trying to forecast future full strength squads and I would assume Lane better than Sironen just as I expect Toupou to eventually push sione mat back into centres
Lane is like Sironen in that is reputation is based on a month or two of good form a few years ago.
He has changed clubs twice since then, so you have to wonder if he'll ever return to that form.
Afoa is $300k. As tempting as he is its a lot to spend on someone only covering for injury.
Difference between Lane and Sironen is Lane hasn't been given opportunities since then.
At least Sironen/Lane are cheap

You left out benjiMighty Fishes wrote:Moga did do really well in the trials as did Mead.
I cant see Mead being dropped
If Oates were to go to the second row there is room for Mead and Moga Kahu and Roberts

If I sell Ponga to anyone cheaper I can go Gallen to Buhrer & Uate to Holmes.
Does that sound better ?
Up to you which way you go, im personally off Surgess and prefer Gallen. I just think one of those backs plus Buhrer will score more and make more money then having to play Uate in your top 13

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
Yes I found my way, and have a lot of work to do before Thursday!
Some number to mull over...
The following relevant players have 13rd averages to finish 2016 that are >50k above their value:
Sauce = 95K
Moses 77k
Hurrell 77k
Nofo 75K
Mannering 66K
McCullough 63K
Sure they may have had some unusually strong scores at the back half of the year, but they may also represent good value if that is their true form.

Mansour seemed to grow in confidence after his origin debut & was red hot. Also it helped with the Panthers on a roll.
Moses & Nofo. This was due to the Tigers having no chance of making the 8 so they were just playing off the cuff attacking football & it worked. No Farah helped too.
Hurrell actually got match fit & the Titans were playing well.
Mannering was just being Mannering but I think he may of scored a couple of tries. He was making 50 tackle per game as well.
McCullough. This coincided with K-Nik getting injured so he was playing 80 mins.

BroncosHQ on twitter just tweeted that "inside word" the bench will be Glenn, TPJ, Easy E and Arrow.
I mean it could be balderdash but Looks like Offa is on the outer and no room for a bench utility

Glenn/Gillett could slot in at Hooker for a bit? I can't for the life of me remember which one of them has done it before.

I thought Glenn had when he was earmarked as our next captain a few years back.

I don't know if he ever did but he could have easily. I just think it'll be McGuire as he started there for Samoa and was playing a bit at the WCC.
Might do a Parker and cover there for one game and never do it again

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 8
^ Oh I agree based of the WCC it would look like McGuire will be resting McCullough. Although, Nikorima is likely to be on the bench isn't he? He returned in the trials and impressed from reports.
