I am thinking of sticking with Holmes and Gurgess and letting them ride the pine.  I think Gurgess will be back sooner then later, and it will allow me to pic up any cow that arises.

    Smith, McInnes
    CSG, DSaif, Gurgess, Yates
JDB, Surgess, KBrom, SMat, Sironen, FKaufusi
    ATaylor, Lamb, Elgey, Field
    Talakai, Idris, Kelly, Suli
    RTS, Hayne, Phyth, Holmes, Cotric

I really want to get ET though

    Thoughts?

I mean, i can keep mentioning how much of a bad idea i think it is to take Raiders forwards, but people seem pretty keen on Bateman and Co so i think i'm fighting a losing battle. Turned to easy wins  instead and L2 came straight to mind

I agree Raiders forward pack is a tough place to go, but some intriguing options if you can select he right one/ones.

I take it you've heard that the Seggers to Sharks rumour is back stronger than ever. We will all be sweating on it over the next 24 hours.

Crack open a beer and relax. It's nice to get a good start but its not the be all and end all. You can recover throughout the season with good trading and bye planning, no need to give yourself a hernia before the seasons starts.

Can somebody please remind me how the prices work? Final 4 scores from last year get factored into round 2 price changes, correct?

I was looking at Jack Bird, but he bombed end of last year.

Fantastic word is pleb! Highly underused and very well and correctly used in the above sentence

I have at points - reasoning FB gig fulltime so potential for more ball and better base stats from run backs and coming into the line.

I get what you are saying, some will pick player A for reasoning B but not player C who has the same game

So we speculate that Holmes is a dece pick this year because he'll play FB and get base stats from returning the ball. Fair, I'll give him that. You could also state that he'll see more traffic therefore having more potential for missed tackles etc (his defense is avg at best). We won't know how he'll go as he's an unknown really at FB.

    Do you think that's fair?

If so, how can you possibly write off TMM when we've only seen four games of him? For all we know, he doesn't get injured and nobody has yet heard of Clearly as we speak, the guy has brill organisation and kicking and tackles the house down. Unlikely but I'm not gonna say no.

Edit: For the record, I was going to share it anyway Smile

Chris Garry says Jacks trained at 5/8 today.

There is a comment on Garry's post (and from a bit of Googling I assume it is from the Storm's Head of Communications & Content) that says the Storm didn't even train today haha

Fair call on Holmes yes, risk with every pick we make where they haven't played a new position before but FBs generally score better than wingers so fair amount of data to support that, add to the fact Holmes is a superstar in the making and a decent shout he progresses in fantasy

I'm not doubting the talent of TMM I've said that all along, what I do know is for a half to have 6 games in the NRL and kick for a grand total of 8m then generally that is likely the case to assume going forward, base stats are critical to stop the shitty single digit scores and km to a half separates the elite from the also rans

if TMM wasn't awkwardly priced he would be straight in my team, but I prefer the safety of a Lamb who should get decent base stats with the occasional big game with decent attacking output

Did Johnson or Luke kick goals in the trials? Tossing up between him and Cody Walker as my gun HLF I can get in for Moses.
Coming around to Cody Walker as a POD option actually despite having my HLF's locked in for weeks. Can swap and change with Gutherson plus I think he'll be the goal kicker with Aeynolds out won't he?

I mean so many teams are all totally fucked if Segeyaro goes to the Sharks and makes this debate useless but still fun to ponder.
