Perhaps because SJ's days of inconsistency are years behind him, and there's every chance he'll stay expensive all season

RTS looking great today, is he a future 5/8 ?
He looks poised and slightly bigger/stronger.

If you can't understand why people buy him, at least you could surely understand why people might want to rent him for a night?

yep absolutely terrible. either they have no idea what is actually going on or they just end up being insanely bias and place the greatest wraps on any player to put on a Warriors jersey

Of course I do. I love Johnson. I have him in my final 17 every season. But I refuse to pay over $400k for him. I like a deal. I'm a hustler.

Even when he was back at the Roosters it was talked about how great his ball-playing was.
Maybe not five-eigth but nothng stopping him being another Billy Slater maybe without the boot-to-the-face defence tactics.

Phythian's kicking game looked good but yeah lol his scoring ain't much better than Feeney.
Lamb looks like he might be on track to beat Sezer's score so there's that

Its only one half of football, but ill eat my words if we are going to be delighted by some of that every week. Most impressive about the warriors tries to me is that it wasnt ad-lib, it was lil crisp and flashy at the same time.

Went SJ to Pearce last minute, hoping that over the year Pearce can average more

Phythian has lost a few points from trying to defend Fus on his line. "Missed tackle" being an attempted tackle resulting in a try.
Doing the right thing but he won't stop a big man that close to the line.
No good for fantasy but don't expect this to continue all year. I am pretty happy having him in my 25 and glad he's not in my 17.

Yates going really well.
10 point from 17 minutes but a good 5mins of that has been spent standing behind the goal points.

I reckon he will. Personally, I just couldn't justify the extra $$$ from Johnson to Pearce in the end.
Had him in my halves right up until the last week before kick off. If Gurgess didn't drop out, I probably would've run with Pearce.
Working out well so far but it's only week 1 so not too excited.

Hodkinson, zero KM, wow. never saw that coming otherwise I would have picked Lamb instead of TMM.
Note: I don't have Hodko, just surprised he hasn't kicked

My strategy is to pick 2-4 gun consistent forwards and fill the rest of the spots with money making middies or cashies.
This season I went for Smith, JDB, Fifita & Mannering as my consistent forwards - who won't fluctuate much, and filled the rest of the squad with either middies who could become guns or pure cashies.
All 13 of my backs are money makers. Backs are volatile enough to be able to cash in on them when they have a quiet spell. Aside maybe Teddy of course. He looks like he'll score 50+ every week.
Anyway. Just thought I'd explain my comment on Johnson a little more. But I only play for H2H where I'm in a cash comp. So strategy may be slightly different for you points chasers. I can understand why you would start Johnson against Newcastle. Big points on offer.

The scoring in this match seems a lot lower than others.

Phythian has more kick meters than Lamb too.
