Yeah noticed that. Dugan was actually worse, having him I was watching him and every single time he got tackled he went the ref, and then kept going at the next play the ball. Really surprised the ref didn't stop play while they were in attack to teach him a lesson.

Good point. Can you still create leagues? Might be worth looking into setting some up for Round 4 as well if so.

IIRC Leagues not setting to start until Round 4 are still accumulating points. They just don't appear until Round 4. So if we set them up, they will be at a disadvantage as they wont have accumulated any points for Round 1.

You couldn't last season, but I remember Wallace being a great cash out at 85k one season

I wonder how low someone's price can drop

Seriously considering trying to bring in Barnett for ETaylor but fall 5k short of getting there through DSaifiti to Wallace. Is it worth bringing in a Charlie Gubb (Kaufusi is my other playing FRF, Gubb would be a reserve) to make the Taylor to Barnett trade or am I being too much of a fanboy and wasting trades?

that's some solid stats for a lock...

Buhrer or did you mean Barnett? Barnett is lock and scored 71 most in base stats. Buhrer started at 2nd row then moved to hooker to spell Levi.

Barnett should be the no1 trade target this week. Take JDB try away and they scored similar but Barnett is cheaper.

You can't dip below "basement" price.

But I don't think they've updated the basement price from last year, so I think you'll find $128k is the minimum, and Field will stay around there.

.@RaidersCanberra's Joey Leilua accepts $1,350 fine - taking early plea on contrary conduct charge & is free to play

can see a few more punches being thrown this season if this is the standard of penalty.

    Hey guys,

    1) Wallace: Is his 69minutes (and 56 points) likely to be ongoing thing (there or there abouts?)
    2) Elgey to Jacks? Someone posted before but any more thoughts on that one?
    3) Suli: Is he a must have (trade in this week) if you are a Python owner?

    EDIT:

    my team is:
    Cam, Brailey
    McGuire, FKaufusi, PKaufusi, Leota
JDB, Surgess, Smat, KBrom, Sironen, Yates
    Cleary, Norman, Maloney, Elgey
    DWalker, BKelly, Talakai, Idris
    RTS, Hayne, Cotric, Fogerty, Python

Trying to figure out if I should find ways to bring in Wallace and/or Suli....

The Carter Award went from strength to strength and gained massive momentum last year. Already round 1 has been the tightest in the Awards short history with 4 players tying for the prestigious award. A tie-breaker introduced last year to minimise joint winners was not enough to find an outright winner this week so I come up with another rule to separate any joint any winners.

The Carter Award is simply just a weekly acknowledgement of a player who accumulates the highest amount of negatives in a score. If equal the player who was on the field for less minutes gets the lollies, but if there is still a tie (like this week), then I made the executive decision to award the prize to the player with the lowest of the ties scores, and this week it goes to Tyrone Peachey. Tyrone, James Maloney, Brock Lamb and Bryce Cartwright all tied with -16 and they all played 80 min, but I decided the Peachman can have it for his 24 point round.

Gah, if AFB and Taupau both get suspended...
Should I actually hold on to Lawrence, despite him now having a be of 45?
I mean, with suddenly clear daylight between him and other props in this team he should be good for 45 in those two rounds. But he just did so poorly last game I feel he deserves the axe. I could turn him into Lloyd Perret to use as a cashie (who should also pick up mins if both AFB and Taupau are suspended) and use that money to turn Krommich into Barnett, which seems a pretty solid move. I was inclined to give Krommich another chance on a dry track, but Barnett impressed me too much to leave out and it is now or never for buying him. Evolution of the next supergun, don't miss it folks!

I'm very keen on Barnett as well but it would have to be for ET so it's not going to be happening this week.
Sironen on the other hand is very affordable.

Didnt see cowboys game so was wondering if there were any exceptional circumstances behind Lolo running a crazy 290 metres besides being an absolute beast and a little bit of GP. Played 70 minutes im sure he was only a 40-50 minute player last year?? Is he the one filling the void of the frontrowers who have left. Hefty price but those run metres are hard to ignore

    My answers to the questions.

    1) No, it is unlikely for mine that Wallace will get almost 70 minutes each week. Personally the only reason he had such a bulk of minutes comes down to the fact that Proctor went off injured. He will certainly make money this week with a BE of 18. However if he ends up averaging 40 - 45 minutes. Once this Round 1 score works out (Round 5) he will have peaked in price. However if you think he can push 55+ minutes each week then that changes things and that makes it more likely he has 50+ scoring performances and makes a decent amount of cash. (I would be happy to be wrong about this and for him to get those minutes.)

    2) This was talked about already, Jacks scored well with a lot of base stats. Meanwhile Elgey didn't get many attacking stats. While Elgey will be relying on attacking stats he should get more opportunities and has more potential at a massive score. I think both of these guys have potential to make the same amount of cash when/if Elgey has a good attacking display in a game or two. However Jacks is more consistent. Personally I wouldn't make the trade as it just seems very sideways to me. However there is some merit to it as Elgey may be a slow burn.

    3) Suli I don't think is a must have option. However if you don't have him, he is a fair trade for Python. So might as well pick him up and make some cash off of him.

    Just a straight up beast.

No injuries affected their rotations. As a side note, Hess only came on with 23 mins left in the game, was a straight replacement for Lowe.

Don't really see any pressing trades to make this week personally. Giving Woods, ET, Mannering etc another week minimum to see how things go.
