So much talk about trades doing my head in.
I've decided on going with 0 trades.

Team atm is
Mcinness Brailey
Wallace faufusi Musgrove
Jdb surgess ET sironen Yates
Cleary Elgey
Walker Hurrell
Turbo Cotric suli

2 wfb rookies, Elgey Yates - 4 guys that I'd be very happy with averaging 30 but realistically will get around 100 combined.

Reason for this is when I look at all the trades..it just seems like a waste to me

All the wfb rookies have some sort of issue. Pongal only 2 weeks maybe. With Copley joining the titans they're all all concern plus Hayne could return earlier than 4 weeks.
Cowboys - Lolo coming back in 2 weeks and fensom will only get more mins as he warms into the team.

I've got Carty who I'm happy to hold as I'm hoping hell only be out for 1 week. Also holding Idris and Hayne for 1 more week till there's more time to look at the wfb rookies and how they play.

Have 130k and only used 1 trade so far ranked 3500 roughly.

Am I going nuts?

Hmm trbo or aubbs? With everyone running multiple cheapies in their 17 i am contemplating trading to a season keeper in ctr to make a jump in the rankings.

Started this week with 396k itb, was saving to upgrade siro/kbrom/faufusi to jbrom/surgess/whitehead using 1 trade a piece. However if i cash out a couple of cows later to fund that i am able to do the following trade now
Talaki to hess
Idris to aubbs/trbo.

Means i have backline of
Smat trbo/aubbs (moga, kelly)
Guths suli cotric (rts, hayne)

Only thing i am second guessing is the fact surgess, whitehead, jbrom are alot better scores and i will end up using 5-6 trades getting them in instead of 3 and miss out on potential cash of talaki/idris and burn a trade on hess

Not at all.
I agree with you and I'm in a similar spot.
I see lots of people tossing up an array of trades that are largely fraught with danger.
We all know how valuable trades become later in the season.
I think if you are really second guessing your trades, don't make it.

Argh! I've been thinking the same.
What to do... halves and backs have been torn to shreds but most people will be in a similar position. Tempted to save the trades this week and ride it out. Every one I think of feels sideways.

Just had a little look at Elgey to Lamb on the price predictor. If Elgey can avg 30 from now on he will match Lamb for cash at a 40 avg.

So the big question can Elgey find that extra 5 points? I hope so
