To be honest I don't think Gallen will be a keeper this year in fantasy.  His minutes and involvement has dramatically decreased since mid-2016 post origin.  In my opinion, someone in 2RF who averages more than 50 points per game is a definite keeper.  Anyone with an average less than that I'm not convinced.

I have to agree with you on this one. Gallen's main goal for the year is to get to 300 games. If it means playing less minutes so he can play another 15 rounds the year, that's what he'll do I think. He's definitely winding down compared to how he used to play.

For us Brailey owners who don't have much spare cash is the strategy now to start trying to generate cash in the bank by offloading some players & downgrading to cows for when the inevitable happens.

I haven't given up on Brailey to Seggy as a stepping stone to McInnes. Think I will just hold Brailey for the next couple of weeks and see how it all pans out. But from what I understand, Seggy was doing well and in form for Leeds, and has been training all this time with the Sharks. Shouldn't take him too long to get his match fitness and if he does and gets the minutes could be in for anywhere up to 200k in price rises. Am I dreaming?

I still maintain that trading Gallen to JDB as you suggested at this point of the season is ridiculous. Finding the cash to upgrade someone like Sironen, KBrom or the like to JDB is a far superior point upgrade then Gallen to JDB.

Trying to figure out 4 of the following six is doing my head in:

Cotric, Moga, Talakai, Kelly, RJennings, Suli.

    Leaning towards the first four.

Not a bad plan there mate. When it's time Brailey to Seggy to McInnes.

100%. While I agreed with TBO's point generally, there is no way Gallen should be traded out of you already have him. Maybe in the last Origin week if you've got heaps of trades left.

Yeah I'm worried about using too many trades on it, but if Seggy makes good money and plays round 12, could get McInnes round 13 when the Sharks have their bye, McInnes plays round 15, then only missing round 18

Anyone of the mindset with Brailey "I know you have a low BE, but thanks for the memories" ?

What does the cash making difference look like for example with McInnes busting out another 70 and Brailey sub 30?

I might make no trades this week & run with this 17. Am I gtg.

    Smith, Brailey
    Fifita, Wallace, F. Kaufusi (Musgrove)
JDB, Surgess, McGuire, Sione (Winterstein, Yates)
    SJ, Lamb, Jacks (Field)
    Talakai, Kelly (Suli, Idris)
    Gutherson, RTS, Cotric (Abbey, Phythian)

I'm weighing up Cotric v Abbey. The Raiders v the Broncos could be a tough game for Cotric to score well in. Abbey up against Manly with the Morris boy playing his 200th game so the Bulldogs will be up for it so in theory Abbey has a better chance to outscore Cotric but last week Abbey looked lost. So who would you play:
    (a) Cotric or
    (b) Abbey

    Thoughts & thanks.

While ever Gerard Beale is not being named for Newtown I would be wary. If people need someone cheap who will play 2 bye rounds, then great. But some people have mentioned trading out ET and the like for him, which seems crazy.

But really, what would I know anyway. Razz I would be very happy to be wrong. I would love to see Capewell keep his spot more than anyone. But I also think Flanagan should stop being a dick and put Holmes at fullback as he's far superior to Bird. This would bump Capewell out of the centres either onto the wing or out altogether. I feel like coach is just trying to keep Birdy happy now, as Holmes has already resigned. Dick move if that's the case.

Last week during the game Holmes went to fullback bird to centre and Capewell to wing. Keeping Capewell allows them to swap around during the game

I've got cash set aside to go Brailey to McInnes next week
Jacks comes into my 17 for Brailey if Seggy makes the bench

If you have the amount of cash required to upgrade any mid-range forwards to JDB then great. Otherwise if you have less than $100,000 to spend and you desperately need to offload Gallen before 1) he loses even more cash and 2) if you want to get ahead in points by at least 10 points per game so you won't lose your h2h (it may come down to these 10 points).

Seems just about the optimal way forward MS. Might give Jacks a run anyways
