    What does the cash making difference look like for example with McInnes busting out another 70 and Brailey sub 30?

    What difference would it make for people that already have McInnnes in their team as a keeper?

    My trades this year have been very under whelming

    Round One
    Python -> Moga
    DSaf -> Siro

    Round Two
    Talakai -> RJennings
    iPapa -> Hoare

    Pretty poor trades thus far but hoping they can make me some money in the long term.

    SJ, Lamb, Jacks (Field)
    Talakai, Kelly (Suli, Idris)
    Gutherson, RTS, Cotric (Abbey, Phythian)

    I'm weighing up Cotric v Abbey. The Raiders v the Broncos could be a tough game for Cotric to score well in. Abbey up against Manly with the Morris boy playing his 200th game so the Bulldogs will be up for it so in theory Abbey has a better chance to outscore Cotric but last week Abbey looked lost. So who would you play:
    (a) Cotric or
    (b) Abbey

    Thoughts & thanks.

    Cotric for sure.
    Would you still play Brailey if Seggy gets a bench spot?

    The only perceived weakness is that your wfb's are a bit thin with Uate, Suli, Cotric & R. Jennings. I'm sure you're on to it though & have a valid reason for structuring your team like this but you probably have too many cash cows there. But if they all come off & generate a lot of cash then you're on to a winner.

    I'm not sure because my alternatives of Musgrove, Winterstein & Yates may not outscore Brailey even with say 60 mins. I read somewhere on some other forum that the coach said Sege would play reserve grade for a couple of weeks playing big minutes to bulid up his match fitness.

    Thinking forward has me worried as a sharks fan, i think Holmes only signed for 2 years ao if he isnt happy he will be off anyway. And in the meantime Bird hasnt signed up and is looking around. Sign em up and throw the cash at them ffs.
    I dont want that feeling of losing Peachey and Frizell again.
    Fantasy wise Capewell is a gud prospect, if u recall going on last year he is first to fill many a gap whether it be backs or forwards. And surely Beale is slipping in the order finally, hopeless. Capewell isn't overly fast though. Feki a good finisher, dont know why we signed EdrickLee.
    But my thoughts might be biased as i started the season with Cappy. Hard to weigh up bringing him in if u dont have him. If u must downgrade though, u could do worse.

    Well either they aren't interested in the question because they don't own Brailey, or they are dick heads with no clue who still resist owning cam smith due to price

    The trouble with Abbey is he doesnt look like a tackle buster to me. Ponga scored well because hes good at breaking tackles. I just dont see Abbey being a big fantasy scorer unless he jags a try here and there

    I dont get the hooking argument. Whichever approach u took this year affected ur team elsewhere.

    If you have the amount of cash required to upgrade any mid-range forwards to JDB then great.  Otherwise if you have less than $100,000 to spend and you desperately need to offload Gallen before 1) he loses even more cash  and 2) if you want to get ahead in points by at least 10 points per game so you won't lose your h2h (it may come down to these 10 points).

    Gallen has a BE of 64 (same as JDB) so won't be losing much from here on out. It is a silly idea to start the season with Gallen then trade him out after he has basically bottomed out in price, if you don't trade him out you don't lose the cash invested in him already. It would be similar to trading out Sam Burgess right now (another stupid move if anyone were to do so). The $90,000 it would take to upgrade Gallen to JDB could be better spent elsewhere such as using it to upgrade Brailey to McInnes or improving an area such as CTR or WFB where a lot of coaches, myself included, are running with a few rookies.

    If someone is only losing their H2H by 10 points then I think they are better off looking to improve an area of their squad that is a serious weakness (such as running with a backline of cheapies). At this point in time Gallen is not a serious weakness therefore is a hold.

    So you are saying 31% of Fantasy players are dick heads with no clue then by owning a player that averages 62+ per game?

    I do not believe Manly's personal hygiene is something that needs to be discussed in the Fantasy thread Razz

    Way more than 31% have no clue, and you're at the top end of them captain hindsight

    The difference between Gallen and Surgess is that Gallen as I pointed out earlier is playing out his last NRL season and his scores won't improve over time. Surgess on the other hand is just in a run of poor form until last week when he scored over 55 points. There is more potential with owning Sam Burgess.

    Gallen's price hasn't bottomed out and I think if his average of sub 50 continues he will lose at another $60k until he is bottomed out.

    Now would it be better to hedge your losses now and upgrade to a tier 1 forward or risk losing another $60K on a player that doesn't look like he will improve? You would say after he bottomed out that you should've spent that $60K that you wouldn't have lost on a better player wouldn't you?

    But then again, if Gallen scores a try this weekend with a few TBs then he might score a 71 and prove me wrong. Maybe against the Tigers (round 9) he might score over 70 by running at Luke Brooks all game?
