Just to ensure TBOs standard twisting and turning doesn't skew the original point...

Those with Smith and Macca/McInnes already or even the more maverick Mcinnes/Macca are actually close to my heart gun players and dick heads not aimed at you Smile

The difference between Gallen and Surgess is that Gallen as I pointed out earlier is playing out his last NRL season and his scores won't improve over time.  Surgess on the other hand is just in a run of poor form until last week when he scored over 55 points.    There is more potential with owning Sam Burgess.

Gallen's price hasn't bottomed out and I think if his average of sub 50 continues he will lose at another $60k until he is bottomed out.

Now would it be better to hedge your losses now and upgrade to a tier 1 forward or risk losing another $60K on a player that doesn't look like he will improve?  You would say after he bottomed out that you should've spent that $60K that you wouldn't have lost on a better player wouldn't you?

But then again, if Gallen scores a try this weekend with a few TBs then he might score a 71 and prove me wrong.  Maybe against the Tigers (round 9) he might score over 70 by running at Luke Brooks all game?

I tend to agree. Like Parker last year, we only care for the nostalgia.

Now that he's got a premiership I think he's content to performing well but not the gun we remember

Who says burns will be back anyway? Only got in the team to due to injury. AJ is an awful fullback. They will look much better with Walker at the back.

    I think Crichton stays put

So you are now saying to trade Gallen to Sam Burgess as he has more potential? Another sideways trade. Trading out Gallen at this point is absolute stupidity. If you don't trade out Gallen you do not lose any of your investment. Why trade out a player who will average 50 odd or thereabouts come seasons end? Why trade out a player who scores the majority of their points in base stats when their first 3 games of the season has been a mixture of a blow out and stop/start games? Many teams will be running Gallen in their side (injury permitting) to finish the season as a 4th reserve or better. Why trade out such a player at this point of the season when there are other areas in a Fantasy side not providing that consistent reliable score that Gallen is each and every week?

I would like to hear your prediction for Gallen for the next 5 rounds and for the entire season. Points scored and dollar value.

    And... GO!!!

Weird thing is your name is familiar even from sportal days but I don't actually remember you as being an utter twat. Clearly just didn't engage with you in the past.

I ask a very standard, if not thought provoking question for the masses and look where we are at now. Taking everyone towards a page 51 party.

I'll end it here because you're clearly a troll, I'm clearly biting and I'm disrespecting TLT and the forum having other posters

@Mighty Fishes I actually think johnston has played alright so far. apart from being humiliated by barnett he is doing well.
for cricton to stay on means that sutton is the ideal 5/8th which i don't think is the way forward.
burn back next week for me

I didn't suggest in my previous post to trade out Gallen for Surgess at all. I merely just responded to this comment you made earlier:

It would be similar to trading out Sam Burgess right now (another stupid move if anyone were to do so).

Please do not quote my post out of context.

That's fair enough. Don't get me wrong he's no Feeney but I think hes an above average winger. Not a fullback.

Especially compared to Walker and Inglis.

If Burns is back I see Talakai or Jennings missing out with Bryson going to the centres
