At the moment I think the Rabbitohs scores are being killed by Farah in terms of Reynolds, Cook etc will likely only target Sam Burgess and CWalker for origin if he drops in price (right now I still think CWalker is overpriced and will come down in price when they play better teams e.g Cowboys, Panthers, Bulldogs, Broncos in the next 4 weeks hopefully keeps him a bit quieter. Now is just about the time to get Sam Burgess, but also thinking he won't play 80 minutes and he won't play against Paul Carter every week (3 TBs out of 5 against him).

Don't want to load up on too many Sharks and Rabbitohs given they have the bye in round 13, kind of negates that they play round 12.

Sorry mate meant Elliott injured PMat moving and SMat shifting into CTR, all them guessing with the Elliott news and nothing concrete is what MS correctly said earlier

doesnt negate it mate points in tough bye rounds are gold dust and can really increased your rank! Easy to cover them in the next week when you have more players and choice available. CWalker scored 56 against a tough Roosters team he will get points against anyone. 56 without a try and TA is very good going especially for a half with hardly any KM stats

PMat is now injured so they have put SMat into the CTR spot and upgraded Yates into the starting role.

This seems weird, have they done this before yet?

    NRL.com late mail has this;

Knights: Peter Mata'utia is set to replace Brendan Elliot at fullback, with Sione Mata'utia moving to the centres and Luke Yates coming into the starting pack.

PMat is definitely moving to fullback. SMat moving to CTR is speculation.
SMat moving to CTR would be the case in a live game situation where someone goes of injured. It might be a different scenario now before the game as Wardle has been named in the selection.
The good news is that the Knights are playing the first game tonight, so keep an eye on the Team list an hour before hand.

similar scenario with the roosters, which was the example MS used they had Watson named originally so when JFriend got pulled they put Watson as starting hooker but when teamlist rolled out Carter was named to start and Watson went back to bench

This is what it says on the Knight's website:

"nib Newcastle Knights coach Nathan Brown has reduced his squad to 19 for Friday’s match against the Penrith Panthers at Pepper Stadium.

Brendan Elliot and Anthony Tupou drop off the extended bench.

Elliot has been monitored and undergone concussion protocol testing since last weekend’s match.

While showing improvements, the medical team ruled him out on Thursday.

    Peter Mata'utia shifts to fullback."

It sort of does mate, if you look at round 12 and 13 as a whole round Sharks and Rabbitohs still miss a game. You are not going to have 17 guns in your team I don't imagine at this stage. What I'm saying is that if you load up on too many gun Sharks/Rabbitohs like Gallen, Surgess, AReynolds, CWalker, AJohnston etc you are going to take a hit the next week have to play numpties. Non origin players miss two games for byes for the whole year.

I guess I'm saying Norman will play one more round from now to the second bye than Cody Walker etc was just reminding people to take a more long term and holistic approach when it comes to bye planning.

E.g Warriors, Raiders, Broncos, Roosters and Bulldogs players are actually more important up until round 14 than sharks and rabbitohs. With Eels the most valuable.

But why would NRL.com just make up their own team sheet with what they think might happen?

And yeah, official Knights site only saying that PMAT moving to fullback, nothing else.

NRL.com doesn't get updated squad lists from coaches, they are just told who is dropping out of the 21. So when Friend dropped out of the 21 they assumed Watson was starting hooker despite the fact Robinson was planning to start Carter. Same thing with Sione. They lost Elliot so shuffled Peter Mata'utia to fullback, Sione to centre and Yates to 2nd row. Notice how Gagan is currently the 17th man? I assume Wardle will come in for him and go to centre with Sione back to 2nd row
Just chucking this up again for those speculating. Not a big deal for me as i'll just play whoever starts out of Smat and Yates but worth considering if the NRL actually know or are just pulling positional changes out of thin air.

Edit: Didn't see Chewies news from the Knights site. Good luck to those of you without Yates who need to make an early decision.

Eels obviously have best byes lad right there, you wouldn't want any more than 5/6 from both those teams combined and preferably guns so you get better points in the tougher rounds, Norman is probably the No.1 player to have over the origin period and I will move hell and high water to get him in, at his price now he is a better shout than Walker because he has the attacking game Walker does but also has the bulk KM

So we should just see Wardle into CTR to move PMAT back and the bench should be the same. When you look at it, there really isn't a point in bringing an extra forward on the bench just to move SMat out.

Just wait for teamlists lads easy enough, if you won't be around just chuck the R in someone playing later if you don't want to take the risk
