    Interesting:

    pete badel‏ @badel_cmail
Breaking: David Mead will be retained for Broncos clash against his former Titans club this week. Mead will be on bench. Oates back on wing

Don't mind this for the bronx. we don't really need to carry a fourth forward, its a waste of a bench spot. This gives us a bit of flexibility/insurance in case of injury due to existing issues with Oates/Roberts. Good news for macca owners.

If Moses moves to the Eels soon I might actually buy him. All the talk so far is how he impacts Norman & Gutherson but we haven't talked about what effect it will have on Moses as a pick. The Eels play open running footy like the Tigers so it will add to his running game & when you factor in the byes he seems a really good buy.

If I sell Musgrove to a FRF nuffie I can go Lamb to any half I want. Not worth killing off a spot?? If you did it who would you pick? Others I have are Norman, Jacks, Frawley. Thanks

same here, I'm dropping Gutherson this week... I'd love to keep him for the byes but I think his move to FB will lose him too much coin

I don't think Gutherson's move to FB should have a bearing on whether he is retained or removed.

The question is whether you think the Eels are likely to respond or fall further in a heap.

If they respond and start playing well again, I expect Gutherson's scores will return to roughly what they were in the halves.

I saw MS post his potential trades yesterday & 1 of them was bringing in Tualau from the Bulldogs frf @ 138k. MS is a pretty good judge & if he says he expects Tualau to get game time over origin then he is usually right on the money.

Re the half backs I saw this posted on another fantasy site re ownership under 10% pod's:
    A-Rey = 2.5%, C. Walker = 4.0%, Pearce = 4.0%, Cronk 5.5%, DCE = 6.0%, Cleary 7.5%

I'd either go C. Walker or A-Rey (but beware of his injury prone status)
I'd say exclude Cronk & Pearce as they'll play origin
Both DCE & Cleary don't play round 12 so I would exclude them.

General fantasy question, at what stage do we start trading cashies to nuffies to pocket the $$$?

Cartwright apparently didn't train yesterday but Fish did. Hopefully CHN retains his starting spot with Fish back on the bench.

Cheers WL, awesome summary. Am actually leaning towards ARey already. Not concerned about a hypothetical injury, more worried he'll play origin. Klemmer and JJ nailed on for origin??

I'm not reading much into Gutherson's score of 17 against the Warriors because he was a last minute change of position & the Warriors for a change actually played more conservatively & played the percentages which provided limited opportunities for Gutherson. This week he's up against the Tigers as the Monday Anzac Day clash. It's a big game & I expect the Eels & Gutherson to step it up.

Tony Webeck says everyone bar Hayne, Hurrell, and Peteru trained today for the titans so they should field a team much closer to their best this weekend.

I would say Klemmer & Jackson are definites for origin & both are in good form. Des could play Tolman at lock which I think he did last year (I could be wrong) which opens a spot in the front row rotation for Tualau. I actually had A-Rey locked into my round 1 team but he got injured. If he can get an injury free run he'll go very well especially now the Bunnies seem to be getting a bit of momentum.

IIRC Gutherson was pretty much a keeper WFB before he went to the halves anyway.

Have you noticed if Tualau has been on the 21 man bench?

I do think Guth will get back to reasonable scores, but at the moment I've got enough cover for the HLF and WFB position... trading him out gives me enough coin to get a solid starting 17 (+ 18th man)

On Sunday morning on the day of the Warriors v Eels game I read a headline that said the Warriors are putting away the offloads. This showed in the game with the Warriors playing very conservatively & playing low risk football. This was the reason they won. They got into the grind, completed their sets & had a good kick chase. This should be their blue print going forward.
However, my immediate reaction when I read that headline was I bet this is bad for SJ & he scores sub 50 today & so it happened.

what do people do during the bye periods with their trades. do you go side ways keeper - kepper whos playing that round or slowly start killing off positions to player who play but wont be seen again unless injury.

Im seriously contemplating killing off positions a few positions now since im most likely gonna do it any way for a player who only scores 20-30 points during a bye round. Im still looking at guys like bodene, whitehead crichton and so on , but by next week im gonna have such a godly 2rf pack those guys probably wont even make the cut for my final 17

If I give ET and Musgrove another week, I can go Hess -> Whitehead and Lamb to ARey. Do it??
