Definitely getting to the point in the season now when you will need to start making those planned upgrades WK. I think Milchy pointed out the other day that some people will be around or under that 25 remaining trade mark now. With a 25 man squad that means that every trade from here on out for those people needs to count.

I don't think it's time for you to panic yet but definitely worth having a plan of attack in mind and ready to implement.

Thanks mate. Makes sense. I'm happy with my squad and the cover everywhere makes me feel comfortable, but I'm thinking a JDB in the second row would improve the squad on a whole, so I guess I answered my own question.

This week starting it could be anything. From 30 points up to a 50+ score if he has a point to prove. For Ultimate if you don't have better options he could be worth the risk, otherwise I don't think he is worth bringing into Fantasy NRL due to the fact that his minutes are up in the air when Sutton returns to the forward pack.

Definitely not interest in him for fantasy, just yet.

But for ultimate it's between him, McLean and and K. Sims

How much is my lack of big guns in the second row killing me?  Am I sacrificing too much in the way of guns for depth? Should I really make JDB or Tolo a top priority?

If Gurgess plays well I think he gets good game time, simple as that. All down to him. I'm sure Macguire would rather have Gurgess firing in the front row than Kyle Turner. It actually kinda feels as though his career is winding down but he's only 24 years old lol, surely he can get back close to his best.

depends how long you stick with them for. leaves you in a great position to do gun upgrades for a few weeks but at the same time you don't want to fall back on points. Would actually leave JDB unless you're trading him in in the next few rounds. Gallen is bye friendly as fuck and would be a great trade from Hess when he levels off. You're centres are fine to leave, as are your WFB's for now too. And with RTS being a reserve there you can easily downgrade Ponga to a nuffie once he loses his spot and have tonnes of cash to get yourself a gun 2nd hooker for the bye rounds while still having Lamb and Frawley there. Really liking the make up of your team as a lot of potential there mate.

Thanks Beast, this is fantastic post. Interesting opinion with JDB, but Gallen is looking good for sure. I have no one under 200K so I have room to move everywhere which feels good and just need to make the right trades. The points parts is where having so much depth is having me lag behind, but I'm okay with that for now. A lot of my squad I have no issues sticking with if their scoring stays up. I think I am in a decent position, team wise not ranking wise but it's the trades from here that count. Did well grabbing, Slater, Hess and Ponga when I did though.

I don't think it is costing you at all. Like generally just looking through your squad there isn't any major issues. Of course if you can turn Sironen + Yates to another legitimate gun your team would look even better. I would make JDB more of a priority for your squad. However everything looks really good. Just improve your last reserve.

Gurgess will be fine tuo play tonight. Its his longer term prospects that worry me.

He's at bottom dollar, I'll probably pick him up next week if he does ok, a straight trade with Yates.
Just an extra player for bye coverage.

Oh, it most definitely would and you should be aiming for a few of those super guns soon. Having the cover is all well and good but sacrificing 10+ points per player per week adds up pretty quickly. Look for some good DPP coverage to minimise those excess players over the coming weeks.

I'm going to trade Gurgess in in Fantasy. My team is crap enough that i think its worth the risk.

In Dreamteam though, I am actually travelling quite well. And if I trade Gurgess in and he goes back to the bench and shiity 2-0 point scores, then its a wasted trade and i'll be behind the 8-ball.

Thanks dude. Hopefully Lamb can go well so I can keep him, and a double trade next week for a top tier second row and yeah you're right, it would look even better. Thanks again.

Exactly. Does he have it him to get back to where he was or has he truly plateaued as a footballer.

JDB - honestly, no idea what daleys thinking, maybe 3/10 ???
Hess - kevy seems pretty excited about him but i'll still be surprised if he gets a run (at least in origin 1 or 2) - 2/10
BJ - see above re daley.. 4/10 ?

EDIT: wolfking just beat me, pretty similar results though haha
