That just goes to show that I suffered more injuries through out the season. I also had 9 origin players to your 3 which made a big difference in potential point scoring as well.
The weapons got it done when it mattered.
Who are you playing this weekend again ?

Re: Ultimate League Thread 3
If we look at the draft and look at the top 13 picks, I have excluded Mansour because his injury was already preexisting when the draft began for games missed.
1.7 (7) Adam Reynolds SOU - HLF 2
2.2 (10) Simon Mannering WAR - 2RF 2
3.7 (23) Shaun Johnson WAR - HLF 5
4.2 (26) Aiden Tolman CBY - FRF 0

12.2 (90) Gavin Cooper NQ - 2RF 3

13.1 (97) Blake Ferguson SYD - FBW,C 4
Milf: 30
Weapons: 48
In theory your best 13 should be the ones counted, if you drafted shit then thats on you. In case of the argument i have consistently had higher performing players out for a more consistent period.
Its obviously impossible to gauge in game injuries but going from memory because I watch a lot of rugby league.
Apart from Dugan & Reynolds a couple of times I cant think of many examples. Cooper played one minute in one game but you had dropped him and he was playing for me when that happened suprise suprise. I prob have missed a lot but given they werent in my team I didnt take much notice.
For my lot, Smith has played a couple of half games/ early shower.
Frizzell has he even played a full game all year, kent has been as bad as burgess this year without completing games.
Aitken has been injured in games 3 times.
Coopers 1 minute cameo a few weeks ago
Milford going off early with his shoulder injury and being rested 2 or 3 times going off early.
McGuire got ko'd in the 2nd minute of a game I think against the Roosters
In Summary.
Weapons > Milf
See ya next year.

Fairly certain I said earlier this year that BL had the strongest squad with Cam Smith leading the charge. Not much has changed. Im going to call it now, BL as L1 GF winner. Too much quality across the park!

Just setting yourself up as the under dog. if you finished the entire season in second normally means you had the second best team in the comp....

Did anyone ever end up trading with Quicksand or did he keep his 7 hookers all season?

My advice, if you don't like it when your players miss games during the season, don't pick so many origin players

I had a few offers but they weren't very good from my side.
As it turned out, my plan didn't really work !!

Lichaa was good early on averaging in the 50's until he got turned into the scapegoat because Reynolds and Mbye are rubbish halves.

Well makes your pre season picks not to bad at all, even JBrom is usually a monster in that format just been a sad sack this year, no one could of predicted that fall from fantasy grace

If I end up winning the title I would say it was worth it and they helped contribute.
I never expected to win the minor premiership with having so many origin players just wanted to peak at the right time of the season hopefully just as the Broncos are doing

At home with the man flu atm so plenty of spare time, usually I have 5 mins a day to spare for this place.
For the record it took less then 5 minutes to dig up those stats.

The new you is a lot more boring, kudos to getting yourself right mentally but the old you was much more fun forum wise.
Ryno and I share a good enough rivalry to keep it interesting, I keep myself motivated by knowing every win is a spot higher that I am finishing then him

Thanks man
I am still down for some fun banter here and there though. That's why we play this game after all! I'm just glad I'm not being relegated

Almost like I purposely drafted SJ and Mannering (amoung others) specifically to avoid origin headaches. You can't use your first 6 draft picks on origin players and then complain when they aren't available - you knew that going into the season.
B/L wrote:if you drafted shit then thats on you.
Average scores;
Season 522 v 511
During origin 474 v 465
Before and after of origin affected weeks 547 v 534
Post origin affected weeks only 547 v 507
Tell me again how all those origin players bought your scores down.
Your injury counting thing is ridiculous. So many faults in it, I dont know where to begin. Leaving out Gutherson's season ending ACL is a good start though. Mansour missing 13. Boyd and Gordon both missed 6 weeks. Multiple players on that list arent on either team anymore.
But again - thems the breaks. Shit happens. Sometimes the stars align and bad teams knock off better ones on any given week.
