@Warriors
You are doing well with your team... getting over 900 last round is impressive

I am looking to bring in eel players now in guths and brown with the plan to sell em to these guys come round 16.Warriors wrote:Also, guys like Jake Trobjevic, Taupau, Cleary, Cartwright, Peachey etc could all be worth saving your trades for after round 15 as their byes will be complete and could become keepers.

Should I downgrade Winterstein to Elliott or Aloiai? Or upgrade to Whitehead or Thompson?

Yeah Knights, Panthers & Manly all complete their 2nd bye in round 15. I'm not too keen on the Panthers if their poor form continues. Also Mansour should be back by then & could be a pod. Manly look good form wise & guys like J-Trbo (if not involved in origin), Taupau, maybe DCE, D. Walker (probably won't play origin) & T-Trbo (if not involved in origin) all look like excellent additions to any fantasy team. I don't know how relevant the Knights will be but maybe Sione is the only one worth having but his constant hia tests probably exclude him.

Funny how they make the decision after they play the dogs, meaning he will miss the Newcastle game.

So papalii was punished by the raiders twice for the same incident. Gotta love rugby league.

Chucking this Q out there again for the avro crowd:
Has anyone actually successfully contacted Prozone / Stats and received a reply?
Cheers.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 37
Here is my spitballing thoughts on half planning.
I'm reserved to Pearce playing origin. He is upwards trending in price probably for another week or two after which I trade him to a bye friendly Norman who I ride with Munster and KNiks replacement.
After origin I see how Pearce goes and consider bringing him back in once he struggles to meet the high BE aghast he has set for himself. Risk is that I don't have the discipline to retain the funds to buy him back at the end of it, but hopefully I'll cash in a Post-origin Elliott anyways.
I know people are talking about keeping Fifi or not, but what about the same for Pearce. Too many trades ?
After bringing in Munster this week, I'll be down to 21.

Looking for people's thoughts...
I often hear that people think a trade is worth around $100k....i.e. hope to make $100k from each trade you do
What about how many points you think a trade is worth? Especially thinking about more sideways trades around the bye period...
Would you do a trade knowing it would not get you any $$ but get you 50-100 extra points over the 8 game period?
Mainly thinking of sideways trades like McGuire -> Graham....or Brown -> Tolman (after rnd 15) etc etc (or even downgrading CS9 )

Trading James Graham in is a good idea, he'll lose another 30k by round 12 because of his low score of 9, so it might pay to wait a couple rounds and bring him in after round 11

Like it, although you could wait a week whilst he takes a big drop in price after this weeks HIV score.Stinkbug wrote:is mcguire to jgraham a reasonble trade with origin looming? its my 2nd year so il half attempt bye planning given i'm got a half decent rank so far.

I'm planning on doing that too (or maybe even to Tolman if I need cash for somewhere else.....he often seems to do okay around the bye period...)
Their scores in the weekend helps a bit tho as the price difference between the two of them will help a heap (Graham/McGuire that is...)

You may have better luck going through Lone Scout on facebook than contacting prozone direct
There is a user here @prozoneman who has some connection with the company but he rarely posts .
There may also be legal reasons why they don't go into too much detail. When Prozone took over from NRLStats - NRLStats tried to sue them for copyright infringement based on the forms/system they used to collect game data.
NRLStats lost the case but it might lead to a bit of reticence on going into too much detail on how they work.
( is herea discussion on the case)

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 37
If I make 2 trades this week I'm down to 18,probably low but I think I'm heading in the right directions. Thoughts on my team please anybody:
Aubusson out Brown in
McGuire out Gallen in
226k in the bank
Smith McInnes
Brown FKaufusi Ese ese Yates
JDB Surgess Gallen Crichton CHN Winterstein
SJ Norman Nikorima Hampton
BJ Idris Kelly Fuimaono
RTS Slater Hayne Suli Phythian
Yates will become Graham in the next couple of weeks and Suli will become Munster soon as well. Any other thoughts?

Graham will be dirty with himself for missing out last game and not being there for the team as their leader.
Look for him to bust out a 70+ in his next game, he will be super motivated.

Thanks mate. I've sent an email to the guy who heads it up in Palmy North (assuming thats still where they do it). Remains to be seen if he replies though.

Trades leading into the byes will look a bit like this
Prior to rd 10
Cronk to Norman (should have pulled trigger last week)
Prior to Rd 11
Smith to Macca
(before people freak out. This is to make sure I have at least one hooker playing each bye, between Mcinnes and Macca. If trades are plentiful after byes ill bring smith back in for who ever is going worse)
Prior to Rd12
McGuire to Graham (following Grahams low score on weekend, ill let his price fall as much as possible)
Stone/CHN to Brown

No way i'd burn a trade for 50 extra points.
This year for bye planning rather then sideways trading players for 1 -2 games extra i am going to only bring in keepers (those with better byes are the priority) or cash-outs, ill look at bye players for the cash-out but im not going sideways.
My trades this week will be Weinterstien to Gallen and Kelly to MWZ. This will leave me 185k to target a keeper half in the coming weeks.
Smith Cook
Vaughan Wallace Brown Kaufusi
Gallen JDB Hess Chrichton CHN Thompson
Norman Niko Hingano Feeney
Smat Moga Idris Rennings
RTS Turbo Hayne Suli MWZ
