Will Hopa play Origin? With the return of Hayne, and the good fitness of all the other backs.

I think Hopoate is too far down the pecking order to play origin.

    I'm back!

Didn't get burnt too badly (in regards to fantasy) while I was gone.
managed to sneak in CHN when I saw he was starting and make some trades and don't think I copped any AEs which is good.

Oh and I'm sorry I broke BJ Leilua. Sad

    Squad now looks as follows:

    Smith, McInnes
    Fifita, Faufusi, Ese'ese, IPapali'i
Surgess, Crichton, Whitehead, Thompson, CHN, Leary
    Johnson, Norman, CNK, Field
    Leuilua. Moga, Suli, Scott
    Tedesco, RTS, Ponga, Hayne, RJennings

21 trades remaining and $106k in the bank.

Pretty strong squad there, Ive burned through trades as Im playing H2H and keep dying with trades at the end so not today son. Heres my squad and my trades for Rd#10

    C.Smith, C.McInnes
    J.Graham, J.Wallace, J.Bromwich, H.Sele (Cashing out on Kaufusi)
    S.Burgess, E.Whitehead, P.Gallen, B.thompson, C.Hawira-Naera, S.Stone
    K.Nikorima, C.Munster (upgrade from J.Feeney), B.Hampton, J.Field
    S.Mata'utia, B.J.Leilua, J.Idris, B.Kelly
    R.Tuivasa-Sheck, J.Hayne, K.Ponga, B.Abbey, T.Roberts-Davis

My halves are awful, rd#9 I had Nikorima, Feeney, Field and Hampton so desperately needed to get a gun in the halves. Kaufusi took the fall as no point selling J.Bromwich now, my thoughts is that his stint in the Kiwis jersey will fire him up again...hopefully. Kaufusi also wont make to much more, I think he has peaked. Went with Munster as a POD as although he's not the dominant half he is very busy and a great tackle breaker.

I also now have $247K in the bank for an eventual upgrade down the line.

    thoughts peepz?

Is the cash to upgrade Niko when Hunt is back?
At that point I expect you'll be sitting on 16 trades.

Have you got a trades plan/idea of how many you'll use at certain points for the remainder of the season? ie; 8 during byes, 4 to consolidate your squad after byes then 4 to trade for long term injuries in the run home?

Also - Faufusi has not peaked. He still has those 2x 70+ scores in his calcs the next few weeks. Currently a B/E of 25 for a guy who has not scored below 33 this season and is averaging 49.

Understand your predicament though, you've got to pick who is the worst of some good keeper options.
I have four potential keepers in WFB and am currently using a reserve there which is something I never thought I would do a couple of years back.

People trying to figure out when to trade Hess/CHN etc, its a bit of a lottery at times.

I can't help but feel like you've put all your eggs in one basket. By trading in each flavour of the month (CHN/KNik/TRD/Feeney/Stone (unless you started with him)) you've kind of pigeon-holed yourself into having to trade every week now to keep up with who/who isn't playing. This problem is made worse by the fact you only have 18 trades left. If one of your backs pulls up with an injury I think you'll be kinda screwed.

While I can see why you need to upgrade a half, I think you need to find the cash from someone other than Kaufusi. Can you downgrade Kelly instead? You don't need to worry about byes as much in H2H but they'll still affect you, even if it means reduced minutes for your guns.

Nothing too exciting. Found some guys fire-dancing outside a bar on one of the islands. I got convinced to have a go as I used to do a bit when I was younger. Didn't go too badly considering I hadn't done it in years and I was half cut :pp:

Those of you who have McInnes. Are you happy with him as your backup hooker for the rest of the year or are you aiming to upgrade to McC?

I'd be worried about bringing Macca in now at premium price. I'd want to see how he goes with Niko on the bench, he'll likely lose some mins.

nrl.com just put up an article about cs9's successor Brandon Smith. Sounds like he'll get a run with the storm while cs9 is on origin duty?

I agree. That's why i am thinking of bringing in McInnes. He has very few missed tackles and plays the 80. Plus I want to be able to say "Twin Cam" Embarassed
