Coke aint just in the NRL its everywhere. The "problem" is that it is very enjoyable. Unfortunately, but fortunately, for most, it is generally too expensive to become a problem.

It's a grand final. Not a cup final. It's been tradition for 109 years and I hope it forever stays that way. Soccer is shit.

GRAND Final
It's a rugby league and Aussie rules thing
A-league need to get with the times/world. Football has been around a hell of a lot longer than 109 years
Just showing some empathy for anyone who follows Sydney as I understand they have been dominant this year

@ Greenmachine. I always thought you were an Aussie mate. Are you English?

I thought Cody Walker was a bit quiet in the game. He had a few good touches but I was expecting him to be more prominent & really show his skills. At times you hardly knew he was on the field. Do you think teams have worked him out now or that no. 6 doesn't really suit his attributes.

I am an Aussie mate. Dual passport only because lived in the U.K. The last 9 years.
And don't get me wrong from Rabs comments I get and love a grand final. Not only to sell out a stadium... it's cultural. Family parties and BBQs
Just doesn't make sense in a-league. Make the FA Cup final bigger instead and let he best team be the champions

Was real good defensively with some very important tackles but didn't seem to get his running game going. Think we can put that down to not really knowing his role in the team after limited training time. Few nice little short kicks aswell

Doesn't he what!
Someone is about to win "the league"... on penalties
Gf just doesn't work for football like it does the higher scoring games/sports
Hopefully the FA Cup grows in prominence so people can be seeing Marconi v Melbourne City in a final and have the BBQs on that day

I'm with GM.
Sydney being the far superior team all year don't deserve penalty shoot-out shit.
TLT please

Are you from Canberra mate, or just there for the game?
Sorry Si, Just got back home from a weekend in Syd after going to the Test on Friday night. (I've been busy after some shady dealings after the test, but got the opportunity to meet two of the leadership group of the kiwis though!!!)
I am from Canberra, so took the opportunity to see my first international live. Took my daughter to her first match and she had a ball. She loved the Jillaroos game, but started to lose interest after halftime of the main game. Seeing Marty Tapau for the first time - she kept occupied by pointing out every time Armlegs touched the ball (Armlegs is her nickname for him because he has arms that are twice the size of my legs).
Good game, but atmosphere wasn't that great. Crowd looked ok, but surprised it only got to 18000ish.

Yeah, yeah. You've been harping on for months, mostly incorrectly, because you don't own him, but you'll be proven wrong, and he will be playing next game, he wasn't injured last game either. He goes off for his ten minute stint every week and if they can get away with a free interchange they do. I doubt you've seen many Parra games this year. I guarantee you'll end up with egg on your face. Time for a new avatar for you I think......what bet do you want regarding Pritchard, Mr. Hindsight?
Mate, first of all, my name is not TBO (captain hindsight).
Secondly, you strike me as a seasoned fantasy player so I'm surprised you have him.
If you started with him then great, but what I did say is that I wouldn't trade him in for 366k. Lots of better players only approx 50k more than him. Said he misses a lot of tackles and that being a smaller body and the way he's into everything and puts his body on the line he was an injury waiting to happen.
Yes I got lucky with the avatar bet, watched some ten min highlights of the cowboys game again and he missed four tackles on ponga so that won't happen every week.
Also, I've watched most eels games this year so I know he didn't do so well against the better teams with better forward packs but did well against the likes of the warriors, panthers and tigers, all bottom 8 teams that have been struggling for form.
You lost the bet so suck it up and don't attack the person, be gracious in defeat. For the record, I think even kaysa has surprised BA and I think he has been 1 of the nrl'a most improved players this year. Just wouldn't have him taking up one of my important hooker spots at this stage of the season, that's all.

Luckily for me, I'm not a real league fan. So I was able to fully enjoy Sydney's win today.
Grand Final's may be an unnecessary event, but they bring on the crowds and money.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 38
One of the issues with Coke is that it's obvious to most people that it's way to enjoy it occasionally without destroying lives. Tonnes of people do it every weekend, so it would be hard for league players to avoid at times, with lots of money and free time to spare.
Half the media people condemning SKD, JBrom, etc probably enjoy it themselves.
Anti drug campaigns should be concentrated on more damaging drugs like Ice/meth

People talking drugs
Does any one know where I can score some pot in Mudgee?
Going to trade out Hess this week.
I'm just not sure about trading in SST. He will make money over the bye rounds and puts some $$s in the bank.
What are other Hess owners doing??

The problem with drugs is the weak minded people that get addicted to them. It's very easy to just not do them all the time. I don't care if league players are doing coke because I am as well. You can be a functioning member of society and still do drugs. Ice I'd never go near and I dare say neither would most league players.
