Mate, first of all, my name is not TBO (captain hindsight).
Secondly, you strike me as a seasoned fantasy player so I'm surprised you have him.
If you started with him then great, but what I did say is that I wouldn't trade him in for 366k. Lots of better players only approx 50k more than him. Said he misses a lot of tackles and that being a smaller body and the way he's into everything and puts his body on the line he was an injury waiting to happen.

Yes I got lucky with the avatar bet, watched some ten min highlights of the cowboys game again and he missed four tackles on ponga so that won't happen every week.

Also, I've watched most eels games this year so I know he didn't do so well against the better teams with better forward packs but did well against the likes of the warriors, panthers and tigers, all bottom 8 teams that have been struggling for form.

You lost the bet so suck it up and don't attack the person, be gracious in defeat.  For the record, I think even kaysa has surprised BA and I think he has been 1 of the nrl'a most improved players this year. Just wouldn't have him taking up one of my important hooker spots at this stage of the season, that's all.

I've had since R1 as I knew he would be the best cash cow in the hooker position and he'd be great for byes. I was right on both counts. No sour grapes. We both know you got lucky as he'd averaged 50+ for the previous 3 games and I expect him to stay around there. As for injury prone, he hasn't missed a game this year. There have been plenty of small players who can tackle. Gilmeister comes to mind. He's a mate of mine and a midget. Kaysa is the same size. His tackling technique is fine, but he goes in hard, which is a great attribute, but gets him stepped occasionally and he tends to jump off players once others take the top half....those often get recorded as missed tackles, which they aren't. I have no doubt he will be the best hooker to own during the buy period and I'll be looking to upgrade in R19, when he is over $420k. A top investment if you ask me. No sour grapes, but you are bragging for no reason. Just putting some reality into things. He is not injury prone. His stats tell the story. Minutes played, he is in the top 3 hookers in the NRL this year, so your claim has no basis. The jury will be out when the season is over, not when you say so.

Going to trade out Hess this week.
I'm just not sure about trading in SST. He will make money over the bye rounds and puts some $$s in the bank.
What are other Hess owners doing??

I'm turning Hess into Nathan Brown.
I was tempted to give Hess another round, but now that JT is gone, so is he.

I find it funny that you pull the captain hindsight card on me but then open with the first sentence above. I think that most Brailey and Pritchard owners would be pleasantly surprised with their gamble at the start of the season and that these two players have exceeded their expectations. Well down to owners including yourself on having the balls to go with these guys. However, next week Brailey will probably be the best cash cow hooker for the season to date given he will probably make $4K more than Pritchard next week, so it's all down to the timing of when you sell these players. If Pritchard is in fact injured then he won't be the best hooker through this period. So you still could be wrong on both these counts. I will eat my hat if Kaysa gets to $420K. Just because he hasn't missed a game this year doesn't mean he isn't injury prone. For example, Sione Mata'utia. If I remember right he often came off the bench last year only to not see out the minutes he was supposed to get.

I am not bragging about anything, I am just saying that I could be correct to have warned people from trading Brailey to Pritchard at this stage in the season. And I'm saying that still regardless of any injury he may or may not have. I would rather spend the extra money for Hodgson or JFriend or Peats.

My reasoning for all this is that I see his round 5-8 stretch as the anomaly, not the norm. He won't play the Tigers, Warriors and an out of form Panthers every week nor will he score a try as he did against the Raiders.

    Manly 35
    Dragons 24
    Titans 31
    Sharks 39
    Cowboys 29

is more the norm I think. All teams with reasonable forward packs with decent running props/locks.

Willing to take an avatar bet with you that Kaysa will score less than 210 points from round 12-19 inclusive. If you think his scores of 49, 49, 45 and 61 are his normal then you will just about be there with 2 games remaining.
Given you think he is bullet proof and not injury prone you shouldn't be worried about injuries.

Morning guys. Nice to be back to a normal NRL week. Thought I'd post the team up to make sure Im on the right track

    Smith (Brailey)
    Fifita, Kaufusi (Tetevano, Hoare)
JDB, Mannering, Whitehead (Crichton, Yates, Stone)
    Norman, Nikorima (Frawley, Fogerty)
    Leilua, Turbo (Cotric, Suli)
    RTS, Slater, Hayne (Ponga, Edwards)

I have 26 trades left. No trades this week as everyone has pretty good BE. My plan is:
    Round 11:
    Slater - CWalker
    Fifita - Surgess

    Round 12:
Yates - 138k fill in player
    Stone - Graham
    Ponga - thinking Radradra.

Kelly isn't playing either of the first two bye rounds, so I don't see much reason to hold him. Free up some money for bye upgrades elsewhere.

    So;

    1. Fact - Kaysa is the best hooker cash cow at the moment, as I have said all year. No hindsight. Brailey is second, regardless of your future hopes.

    2. He will play next round. I am willing to have an avatar bet he does.

    3. It's a bold statement to say you will " eat your hat" if he makes it to $420k, when he is already $378k. So, I am also willing to save you that feed and let you run an avatar of my choice when (not if) he does. I'll cop one if he isn't that price by R19.

I know it hurts to be wrong, but you are. I also know you won't accept either of those bets. I'm not playing your game again of 'hand picking' bets that favour you. You don't know as much as you claim imo.

    So?

    So?

    1. True at present. All hindsight as you never can be 100% sure on matters like this. Injuries/form/other players all come into it.
    2. Probably will. Haven't heard anything concrete regarding injury. This avatar bet would just be a stupid as doesn't involve any skill.
    3. You continue to act as if you are Kaysa's agent trying to talk him up, which is why I'm surprised you didn't take me on with my avatar bet. Lets not beat around the bush (we actually agree on a lot of counts and quite frankly this forum has been below average this past week and we need some entertainment) I will be the one to walk the walk (not just talk the talk) and accept your avatar bet. Kaysa will not go above $420K this season (if ET hasn't yet not sure how Kaysa will). You pretty much indirectly told me I am and was right by not accepting a 35 average across 6 games over origin.

I am not claiming anything, just have an opinion that I am willing to back up with facts and follow through on with accepting an avatar bet instead of the contrary.
