Surely given prior experience it would be DCE. And I would figure Hunt is ahead of both Milford and Munster in the next cab off the ranks for either a halves/utility role.

“I haven’t even thought of a Plan B to replace ‘Thursto’, so if he’s out, I’ll have to sit down with the selectors,” Walters told News Limited.

But the coach says the Maroons ‘have some options’ and nominated North Queensland utility Michael Morgan, Manly captain Daly Cherry-Evans and Brisbane playmaker Anthony Milford as players of interest.

Based on that we can assume they aren't thinking of Norman. Not yet anyway.

Considering this was a Cocaine round wouldn't be surprised to see Fantasy Coaches high on crack and taking it easy as long they aren't caught.

Agree. I can do without it. I love origin but I think there's got to be a better solution to what we have now.

The international games are mildly interesting but I enjoy a full round if NRL more.

I've always thought that elevation of the second tier comps might actually be part of the jigsaw that could improve this time of year.

Fantasy aside, I'd also much rather a full round of club games as well. I've been losing interest in the rep rounds for a while now.

The other issue is injuries, clubs like the Cowboys and the Dragons are being affected by what look like serious injuries to their star players from this weekend. Both Green and McGregor would be spewing right now, being without Thurston and Dugan for any length of time can make or break their season, its not fair on the clubs or their fans. The NRL needs to look at doing something to address this.

Also, anyone hear about an incident involving F.Kaufusi? Think it was a head shot which he may be in a bit of trouble for. I hope not for the sake of all of us that have him in our teams.

Agree with the rest of rep round not really having a lot of interest from me. I would much prefer these games be used as preseason trials

Which set of trades do you like - F. Winterstein & Lamb out:
    (a) Elliot & Norman in or
    (b) Gallen & Frawley in or
    (c) Mannering & Frawley in.

    Thanks.

I'd take B. Both play 2 major byes, Elliot won't make enough cash to be worthwhile unless he starts playing 80 on the edge and Mannering hasn't been playing 80 so far this year. Would still try to grab Norman before the byes

b and c look appealing because you get two fine keepers. however frawley will likely bcome replaced once jrey is healthy and lose cash. i would lean towards A before team lists if elliot starts
as he may make 100k or so which could be the difference between a final 17 you want or have to settle with.

another contender is elliotwhitehead. i didnt watch the game last night, but he scored 60+ without many attacking stats

also of interest is grabbing kamikamica or nicholls, or whoever takes welchs spot as the jbrom incident could mean more minutes for that prop. unfortuately those two player only have 2rf status.
theres been a real lack of cows in the frf. apart from yates and kaufusi its been slim this year. a lot of teams will have 6 good scoring players in the second row so getting rid of the right player can mean a lot

I just looked at Radradra's price & very surprised he's at 250k. That's very cheap for someone of his quality. Maybe with all his legal troubles out of the way & now with a clear mind he can concentrate on his footy & bang out some big scores.

Never thought of this, but very interesting comment. Another not so bright piece of planning by our "Leaders".

Are people's attention spans so short that if they go a week without watching an NRL club game they start forgetting about it.

Having a week off for rep games is much better than origin, when they force clubs to play without their best players.

Besides, everyone should stop and watch the A-League today, as Sydney FC confirm themselves as greatest ever team.
