What's the logic behind trading Mannering especially to someone with no real job security? I was considering a Mannering to Nathan Brown trade which has more upside but I decided to keep the trade because Manners is a keeper and he's not out long enough to justify a trade for me.

I'd be tempted by Manners to Brown...

If Manners is out for the next two weeks plus he misses rounds 15 and 18 that's 4 of the next 9 rounds. Also Browns BE is quite good this week.

If you have enough trades and don't have more pressing issues in your team it's not the worst thing you could do.

Edit: Actually taking into account Browns two byes it's only the extra 2 games he misses over Brown...but hey, Warriors do have shit byes so that's something

I've got 19 trades left after going Idris to Joey Manu and maybe 18 if Fuimaono plays so I can get rid of Rennings. Mannering is a keeper and I have Brown lined up as a Fifi replacment in Round 12. His price will go up but I'd rather wait and see what develops before I consider trading any guns out. 2 weeks is a hold for me

If someone's got a moment, I'd appreciate a fresh set of eyes cast upon my team.

    Currently it's:

    Smith McCullough
    McGuire Wallace Kaufusi Leota
Whitehead Burgess deBelin CHN Winterstein Crichton
    Norman Johnson Lamb Field
    Cotric SMat Idris J.Folau
    Haynes Slater RTS Burns Ponga

I'm trying to bolster my numbers for the major byes. This week I'm considering going Idris to Fuimaono and Wallace to N.Brown. I'm also wanting to bring graham in next week or the one after. Coming 141 overall, 26 trades and 14k inb.

    Cheers.

Thanks mate, frees cash and +1 R12 player but I just feel I need the extra firepower from Munster

his increased tackle counts will keep him in the gun WFB tier I reckon, because I don't think he can match his FB attacking stats like you

I can go Idris to Fuimaono, which gives me funds for CHN to Brown.
Would mean benching one of Kaufusi, Crichton or Brailey.

    Too much?

Edit: or I could do I. Papali to Elliot

Wow, what a night of news.

Fuimaono is rated highly on the Souths forum also. They have been calling for him to come in for Talakai for weeks. He could wait a week to see if he keeps his spot though, this is Souths don't forget.

Does the PKaufusi news change anyones opinion on trading Hess out?

Still thinking Hess to Brown, and even Winterstein to Elliot if he does start.

Do you mean too much depth? All very good bye players, it's just going to be an absolute crapshoot for you deciding who to play the next 2 rounds. Nice problem to have.

Busy man aren't you. I'm 17 places ahead of you in overall so I'd be risking it telling you how to beat me but oh well your team is much better than mine so it's inevitable anyway.

Make your trades to bolster your bye stocks. McGuire to Graham trade the week after and then you're golden. If anyone pops up in the outside backs you can trade Ponga to them as well and bank the cash, possibly being able to dump Lamb for Cody Walker or something.

Does Paufusi out directly affect Hess mate? I've got Hess to Elliott lined up, if Elliott does start tomorrow night it's a done deal.

Ponga out of the 21 is cold and even though I knew this would happen, it's going to be a big ask to see him back. Could cut ties, but I feel he can stay since after a Hess to Brown trade, I'm short of going Ponga to Munster.

If Elliot starts and he comes in for Winterstein, would you guys keep Hess to Brown, or jump straight to Gal?

We have seen Hess start in the front row, and perhaps even tomorrow the same thing could happen, Hess could become the starting prop all year with Asiata going back to the bench. I think Green has realised he's not an 80 minute player and could infact be more productive in stints. Saying that, if come 6:00pm tomorrow night he's still on the bench, he's gone for Brown for me.

I need to wipe the egg off my face with Ponga. I don't have him, but I swore they would find a way to keep him in the 17.

I'm playing cautious with Munster as well. I'm not totally convinced he'll be a gun in the halves yet.
If he stays playing well I'll pay a bit extra for him and bring him in for Cotric after Round 12. It'll cost me, but better than wasting a trade on someone who's not as good as I'd hoped.

Based on form and what he can bring, yeah he probably should be in the 17, but Green never wanted to use him and he's laid those cards out now. He used him because he had no choice and he obviously is very bitter about him leaving to go to the Knights.
