I had triple M on on the way home as I watched the game at my GF's house and the same thing. Soward, Dell etc. all saying he's earned a bench spot in origin after that 'mighty performance' HAHAHA!! They were just kissing his dick. Glad I traded him, lazy as always and would have gotten a 20 in fantasy without those two johnny on the spot tries.

Kinda glad I kept Ponga, but Coote will be right. Coote does offer a lot more to the team unfortunately, but you never know Ponga might get another run.

Lolo ownership @30% but maybe alot of thise inside the top 80 dont have him. I went from 77 to 47 tonight on the back of Tolo, i dont have Graham or Tolman or Hess either. Find things like this intruiging.

Lolo has never been an effective fantasy player until this year. The past two years he was like a 35-40 point player. His game last week I think he got 37 was a fair representation of what he was like on average most of the time in previous years if I remember rightly.

Frawley on my bench, but I gotta agree, I think it's a joke.  For them to award those and not that Norman one against the Cows a fortnight ago is seriously laughable.
See i disagree, if they want a black and white system where its not subjective (I'm not going into the Norman one as i didn't see it and i wouldn't try to defend failhub anyway) then to me it makes the most sense to ignore whether or not an opposition player has touched the ball. Otherwise where do you draw the line. If a kick barely brushes a defender then it shouldn't be a TA either? What about if a pass brushes the finger tips of an attempted intercept?  Besides that I also think that the majority of time the kick itself is going to play a large part in the defenders fumble so I'm happy enough rewarding it as a good kick even if there are a couple of exceptions to that rule that wind up rewarded also.

    spot on.

the kick made the error, the error led to the try

Fair call.  But if it is to be black and white, last pass should be the same and thats where the issues and discrepancies have been.

That's another story mate, you are right though

It's the inconsistencies which are fucking annoying and sometimes baffling

Im actually fine with those kicks being try assists. As just posted, the kick created the play and forced the error which resulted in a try.

Its always going to be a grey area though. Sometimes the most important assist to a try is a barnstorming run and quick play the ball.

So is everyone happy with AE's performance tonight? I thought it was a tad underwhelming for 70+ mins forward

Missed the game tonight and much of the footy news today so a bit behind in a lot of the trade talk.

I had Graham and Tolman play tonight, not real happy with Tolman's 39 but it's moved me up to 20th overall. It's only the first game in the round but hopefully I can maintain my ranking.

out of context, it probably is, but as a 240k player who's been brought in to make money and play byes, i'd happily take a 40 average.

I've ranted to some mates about this already, but I may as well here as well. What the hell is up with the Bulldogs play left and right halves tonight? They have one half good at general organising and place kicking and one great ball running, passing half. How is sending them to different sides of the field and neglecting their respective talents a winning strategy?

Too often tonight the Bulldogs went left on 5th to Mbye, so he could put in a crappy kick, or sent it to Frawley to run on 4th, so he couldn't be involved on 5th.

You are right, but the play from 9, 6 and 7 from the dogs was atrocious! Has to come from Lichaa he was constantly chucking pies left to Mbye all day, he has to control the ruck better and make better decisions.

Frawley was just as bad, running sideways 5 yards and popping to Klemmer, Tolman to hit up through the middle on the 4th tackle making another paltry 5m

Have to have some more invention than waiting to get lucky on the 5th tackle from a kick, especially when Mbye is the one taking that kick.

Let Mbye do some running on the 4th and Frawley taking on all general play kicking

The tackle break you mentioned not added for Frawley in updates. I saw it to and was 100% a tackle break.

I've come to expect zero points from updates these days mate, it really is shocking the lack of consistency

You can run sideways, touch someone not even attempting to make a tackle and get one, yet someone can almost wrap you up, get thrown to the ground completely released from the tackle and it not get given

As bad as the spine is you cant just blame them. Its a team problem that has come from the coaching. The perfect example tonight was when attacking Eastwood busts a tackle turns gets a great offload off and then the guy who gets the ball looks up to the left and has 3 players to choose from to pass the ball too, Mybe next to him, Hoppa wrapping around and further wide James Graham. Guess what happens? He cuts out the 2 play makers and gives the ball to Graham, he does that thing he does where he runs to the line then slow as all hell passes wider. That pass mind you then finds another forward and the play dies. All that is because for 3 years they have been coached to play that way.
