If no-one else steps up from this point on, they'll be too late to feature in the running.
Still a fair few guys that have plenty of time mate... French, Ponga, Hess, CNK n Crichton spring to mind. I'd be more than happy with Cotric being the top of that lot so far tho. Stand out young fella

On an unrelated note - I was pretty excited to see a mousetrap play in that game.

If you told me at start of day my two players would combine for 92, i'd definitely take it.
If you'd told me my 2 backs today would combine to score 97, I would definitely take it.
If you'd told me my 2 forwards would combine to score 46, I would have said "fuck off, that's shit".

Brailey maybe? I don't know how they categorise rookies, would the likes of Crichton or Hess count?

Haha, I was getting cheesecake and heard the mouse trap mentioned but didn't realise they'd actually done one, just assumed they were talking about the good old days of Parra.y

As far as I remember (and I may be wrong) but I think they are only eligible if they have played 3 or less first grade games before this year.
So that would count Hess, French and Crichton out. How many games did Ponga play last year? 2?

To be eligible for rookie of the year you can have played up to 3 games last year.
Any games at all in 2015 or earlier and not eligible.
Ponga is eligible.
Hess, French, Crichton aren't

I think ponga played two?
Imo its between brailey and cotric. Ponga has just been a fill in (and yes done well), but the first two have cemented spots in their respective teams (well i guess brailey may lose the starting spot to seggy eventually).

Brailey will already have it wrapped up.
Its not decided on who scores the most dream team points.
Playing 80 minutes in your first season as a hooker in a top 4 team is a bloody good effort.

Unfortunately OTBP, I think he'll downdate. I am an owner too but have been thinking of dumping him the last few weeks. Watched him pretty closely this week. I think they've missed one PC and one MT.
For leilua or cotric?

I've spent a lot of time on the bye planner lately. I mean a lot. Had Turbo and Norman from the start so at least didn't waste a trade bringing either in. Now Brown. Really deflated right now...

for fucks sake, serves me right, been playing devil's advocate on Nathan Brown all year, but with Graham still on the way down i decided to wait on him a week and bring in the only other bye-friendly FRF... 6 points and will probably be out for a chunk of the byes i brought him in for...

Apparently they did. Lafai and a couple of other players did change apparently, just not the ones most look at which is why we didn't notice maybe. They must have absolutely nailed the live scoring for once (or they didn't really review the game).

It sucks, doesn't it. I only just brought Norman and Brown in over the last few weeks. All my trade plans are blown now.
I have Brown stuck in my FRF and there really isn't anyone else worth replacing him with. I might have to just forget about the stupid byes completely.

Even though I have Brown I'm still doing ok at 421/9. At least Croker who I brought scored well & for my 2nd trade I'm still weighing up L. Mitchell v Manu v B. Lee.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 42
BA just said in the Eels press conference that Brown went to hospital, so it sounds like it must be a pretty bad injury. Drat. There goes the dream that maybe he'll be fine for next week.
