Friend or Hodgson? Bearing in mind that though Friend looks like he has better byes, for me they're the same because going to be short Round 19.

So after this week Raiders and Warriors essentially become useless for byes. What are we all doing with the likes of Cotric Bj Croker Whitehead RTS Bodene? Excluding Mannering and SJ from the list since they are genuine keepers. I'll be looking at Whitehead to Finucane/Harris and Cotric to Aitken/Tedesco. Tedesco will have the same number of missed games as Cotric but significantly better scorer for fairly cheap

Whitehead will become JDB or Lolo. Cotric can stay until Tommy T comes back or somebody else really starts standing out because I'm playing him in my CTR's.
RTS well if I can get the cash somehow after getting McInnes in for Brailey then I might swap him for Munster. However I am somewhat inclined to keep him since the Warriors are due their annual run of form over the Origin period.

I'm keeping Croker and Whitehead, most likely keeping Cotric aswell. Fairly sure I'll be trading out RTS

    So trades are looking like
    Smith > Friend
    Yates > Gallen
    Norman > Walker
Leaves me 19, will look to bring Smith back in via Brailey

You nailed it right there, two trades just for three bye rounds is crazy talk. Only reason to trade out fifita is to another keeper with decent byes and then the extra cash to fund an upgrade from a cashie to another keeper

So Smith out and Friend or Prichard in?

What's the ups and downs of each?

-Prichard you pocket 43K and have the best bye rounds.
-Friend does he have more upside with out Pearce

    Am I missing anything?

Prichard seems to have more ✔️ in the box, but more going the Friend way.

These bye rounds are doing my head in. If I do my planned trades to get my final team, it turns out I will only have around 9 players in round 18.
I should still have 14 for round 15 and 17+ in round 19. It's worth taking a hit in just one of the bye rounds if it means getting my final team complete sooner, right? pale I'm sick of thinking about all this. Bang

Reckon most will take a hit in at least one of the bye rounds. It's round 15 for me and if you have good cover there you're doing well compared to most I'd think.

I'm a bit paranoid about Brown, seems to be a lot of secrecy around his injury, I'm not confident he will be fully fit.

The last thing I need is for him to go off early and lose another 40-50k. My gut is telling me to sell, that'll be 2 trades on him in 2 weeks Bang

Same boat pal, but i had him 2 weeks. From what i read on the net it sounds like he may miss 2-3 weeks. But its all speculation. Brown to Tolman !?

I reckon Friend. Last week roosters pretty much had their full strength 17 + latrell injury early in 2nd half. Watson only came on for 9mins cause friend had to leave for hia. Pretty good sign to me

The Pearce factor probably seals it with those scores he gets when Pearce is in Origin Camp and/or Thailand.

I already have Tolman but if you don't, I think it's a good trade mate.

I'm thinking about Brown to Lolo/Vaughan, no good for rd 12 but both will only have 1 bye left after this week.

Like most of us Im still waiting on some solid concrete news regarding Brown. If he is out for a few weeks I will seriously consider trading him out. Have settled on trading out CHN, Mcguire and Lamb for Gallen, Graham and Walker. Will solidify my squad for this round at least.

Thanks guys. It should be okay then. I'll guess I'l just stick with my tactic of ignoring byes except for some brief consideration of the timing of trades, and just trade in my final few players and be done with it.

Macca could lose minutes to Nikorima as Milf/Hunt will be the preferred halves combo obviously and Niko has to have something to do.

I've got Macca and Smith too. I'm planning on holding Macca and possibly trading out Smith and bringing him back. People have been talking about KNik taking his minutes and it affecting his scoring all season and it hasn't been an issue. I'm glad I ignored that chat during pre-season and went with the Macca/Smith combo.
